HA! Yeah, that's the other way to prove it once for all.

I'm disappointed really, that a lot of the posters here seem to taking the people giving out "leaks" at face value. What happened to either demanding proof beyond the spoken word or waiting to draw your own conclusions. We did this dance back with ME2 and no-one who tried spoiling the game then was remotely accurate. So why all of a sudden are folks so willing to believe what anyone says, despite the bizarre contradictions?
People with the Space Edition are under an NDA, one of the guys who got one, name starts with an X, stated he can't legally give out any spoilers or get into serious trouble since the game isn't officially released yet.
The SA guy also started "leaking" back in November, claiming he had a copy of the game as well. And at least one person trying to leak here got called by Chris and admitted that he made the whole thing up. Someone else in a thread here claims to have the strategy guide already, which is also crap because there's no way anyone is shipping you a strategy guide before the game is even out (not to mention he won't show a picture of the strat guide to show authenticity.
In general, a lot of folks are "saying" things, without showing anything that counts as evidence or proof. And no, using the script leak doesn't count because the script is not only months old, it's not verifiable and can't be checked against anything.
If the people spoiling the game were actually in possession of copies, why don't we see screenshots of the endings? Obvious these people don't care about legal ramifications for their actions, so why not go the extra mile and give us verifiable proof?
I'll tell you why. They can't. So let's be reasonable, rational people and be skeptical of people's hearsay. After all, we did this number back in ME2, and that didn't produce any meaningful spoilers at all, just people making things up as they went. I see no reason to suddenly start believing now.

This is my attitude towards the new "leaked information". I'm going to wait and see.
Warhawk137 wrote...
Capeo, like I said in the other thread, any sufficiently thought-out fake spoiler would align with the script, because something that significantly contradicted the leaked script would be widely recognized as fake.
Doesn't mean this one isn't legit, just that if someone was to put some effort into faking spoilers to cause a stir, it would pretty much look exactly like this.

But ok. I'll play nice. It is perfectly logical to want proof and if you're skeptical of the people who have photos of the game, the guide and have been gradually revealing the story piece by piece, then really all you can do is sit on your hands and wait.
However, for your own well being it is probably for the best if you accept the possibility that what has revealed is true and to (if you're so inclined) expect the worst.

Even if that's true, if they're willing to risk legal action by telling us about this "bug", why not post a screenshot to prove it?
Then use a cellphone, or a camera. There are plenty of other ways to take pictures that don't require specific hardware. The reluctance to show physical evidence is most damning if you ask me.

Pictures of the box aren't pictures of the game. Shouldn't it be very interesting that for all the claims of what's in the plot, the people claiming to own a copy and telling us this won't provide videos of the gameplay itself?

I remember watching a fair amount of PC live streaming prior to ME2 being released. Any of that out and about on the interweb yet?
Only copies of the game (Space Edition) are console copies. And as of yet there's been no PC leak on any other sites.

BIG F*ING EDIT: A challenge out there to all you spoilers and leakers claiming to have a Space Edition copy? If you're really gung-ho about letting people know what's in the game, make your claims irrefutable by making a video. Doesn't matter how. Cellphone, video-recorder, capture software, whatever. Go all the way a prove beyond a shadow of any doubt that you're not just flapping your gums.

I so agree with you, OP. Some people rather like to listen to their emotions than to sit down and think all of this over in a rational way. Way to go, drama queens.

nope, their hands are tied because if they confirm or deny it it could result in massive *cancelling pre-orders* for real. no we are left in dark to find it out ourself
