Not saying I don't love TNG. I just don't think it was the best.

My list goes DS9 -> TNG -> TOS -> VOY -> ENT

But that's just my inner Sisko talking.

I don't count ENT.

Wasn't this suppose to be about ME3 in some way.

Yes. Despite the reaction I've seen to the leaked endings, Mass Effect 3 is going to be closing a pretty big chapter in my gaming career. I mean, hell, it's been 5 years. I'm expecting sadness and epicness, Bioware!

But I'm mostly expecting Faunts. If that, or something like it, plays in the credits...whew.

Why do you write like this?
It's a really weird way of structuring a paragraph.
Is this supposed to be a list?
Are there bullets not showing up?
It doesn't make sense to me.
Maybe you are trying to make it look like a poem.
In that case, you might want to improve your writing.

It says what I want while being succinct.
Enjoy your bitter existence.

I'm not bitter at all.
I just don't get why you write like this.
It's not any more or less succint than writing a properly-formatted paragraph.

Those who don't read the spoilers, yes.
Those who read it are 50/50.

I disagree. I have read some of the spoilers, (much more than I ever intended) and all I can compare it to is my experiences with Star Trek Deep Space nine this past year (twas on netflix, watched from begining to end).

I began reading plot points on stuff like wikipedia to find out many things about what was going to happen and I found out more than I bargained for. I did not like some stuff, other stuff I did. Suffice to say once these parts came up, some things executed better than I hoped for, some disappointed me. It came down to the execution and everything I knew about the universe, crew etc. that made it my favorite TV series ever.

Knowing what happened ahead of time in little tiny outlines only gave me a little of the excitement because I was not watching a SCRIPT, I was watching a d*mn good show.

Love or hate DS9/Star Trek, your fault opinion, not mine, but little tiny outlines by the greater scheme of things won't give you the full picture.

Now can we get another discussion board just dedicated to the haters so they have a place to hate away from here and anywhere else.:police:

I don't like star trek it moves to slow for my liking i never understood why people like that over star wars *shrug*

Much more character/universe driven, less force and explosions. It is possible to like both too<3.

I prefer lightsabers and blaster pistols

Star trek takes awhile to get into and you have to have the will, it's well worth it.

Star Wars on the other hand: Han Solo=:innocent::devil::D

Edit @Rockpoople: Love the avater and would have Odo or Quark as mine if this were some other Sci-Fi board.

I actually tried to watch star trek once it was the one with patrick stewart playing jean luc-picard but i still couldn't get into it. On the plus side i found this song amusing

i've seen most of the spoilers, but the same thing happens with most games, we hear all these bad things then when the game comes out most of it wasnt accurate, so i ignore most of it, i cant wait to play me3 regardless of all the speculation over what is supposedly been leaked

I cannot wait! Posted Image

I remember when Mass Effect was first mentioned back in 2005 close to the Xbox 360 release. Or course it was released 2 years later but even back then BioWare was hinting to make ME a Trilogy.

Looking back at all of the previous comments, opinions,"leaks" of the awaiting release of ME & ME2, all of the exact same juvenile negative bantering ensued. Much like the release of ME2, after the release of both titles, all responses were "By far the best game/franchise I've played."

I'm an "Old School" gamer. I remember waiting for the next release of the Space Quest series. None of the things you see and hear today were even remotely addressed then. Alot of repsect was given to Game Developers for their time and hard work. All of this "Need for Attention" by posting leaked scripts, leaked pictures/videos...wow. To many spoiled infants with the power of the Internet.

Thank you BioWare for your time, patience, hard work, long hours and personal sacrifices. It is greatly appreciated!

If you are still excited about ME3, I envy you. Take confort in that and don't try to silence other people just because their opinion differ from yours.

So, wait a minute. Are people raging at the endings because they're bad, or just because Shep doesn't get to be with certain characters?

I don't want to see the spoilers, so yeah... just curious.

You are wrong. The OP asked if we are still excited about the game. I said I'm not and want to game to release just so this will all be over.
I envy those who are still excited.

Looking forward to it? Sure.

But two decades of hardcore gaming have taught me better than to have expectations; good or bad. I'll boot 'er up and see what's what when I get my hands on my copy of the game come March 8, but until then I've got plenty of other games to play.

Incidentally, having lived on this chunk of rock for close to three decades has taught me to prioritize. That phrase, "it's just a game"? It's a cliché because it's true. There are more important things in life than Mass Effect. If you ask me, some people on these boards care way too much.

Still excited and getting more excited by the day. I can't wait. Of course, I've been excited for it ever since I finished my first ME2 playthrough something like January 29th or 30th of 2010.

ME is the only franchise I've gotten this excited for since old school Halo 2 launch days. I stood in line for 7 hours for a midnight launch for that one. It was before GameStop got their act together. They were still using paper receipts and you had to have your paper receipt in hand for them to check it against. It was not a fast process, so being there early was important. The people that got there an hour early didn't leave with their copies til 3 AM!

Well, I really don't know how to start writing this post, but I'll try to do my best.

OK: here, there and everywhere all over the world exist people who all call themselves by one name: gamers. So, I can say I'm a gamer too, just like all of you out there. We all are so different but unique in our own ways in looking at things, expectations, happiness or sadness.. well, we all are just humans. And that's it.

We have ME1, we have ME2, but which is better, the first one or the second one? Well, I just don't care cuz I enjoyed in both of them a lot of times and that stands true even today, in the era of incoming ME3.

I did not liked MAKO in the first game and I missed a lot Liara in the second game as a squadmate. I don't like The Council in both games cuz they act strange and I disagree with them all the time, but I still saved their heads at the end of the first game. MAKO was giving me a headache but it was sometimes funny to jump with it off a cliff right in front of a treshermaw or roll over entire vehicle on a flat ground :) And yes, I dislike Jacob a lot, but still, he was a nice and polite squad member to me who listens to my orders with no question. And yes, I found mining minigame or gathering resources in the second game so cool that I depleted almost every planet that I encountered. And listen to Mordin singing or get drunked with Dr. Chakwas... impossible to forget :)

Heh, and DA2, OK, no big deal, that game was exciting and good, Kirkwall, Kirkwall, Kirkwall, and then again Kirkwall, a small bit of deep roads or those 2 caves on the wounded coast, and again Kirkwall, or that uber cool mirror (ohh I love good mods, especially changing my personal appearance every now and then during play) and crazy romances, hehehe, or clumsy Merrill or wild Isabela and red head hard Aveline always stabbing her back... precious :D

But, who cares, it's just me or maybe my crazy woman's fantasy, and as much that I'm sad that this is the end of the road for my FemShep, I'm still happy that I was a part of this great story just like all of you people out there. I don't care what those people who were called "haters" think about this great franchise, it's just their opinion and their right as human beings to think what they want.

Yes, I am very much excited and can't wait for ME3 to come out. And there is no one alive on this planet and beyond that could make me change my mind and make me cancel my collector's edition preorder. My FemShep will have her epic end of the story cuz we both deserve it, she as my gaming icon and me as a gamer. And , to put it simple, that's it. This game will be great :)
