So I boot up ME2 to continue working on my renegade femshep before ME3 and see there is a new entry under the Daily Cerberus News feed it reads:

"Khar'Shan communication gone dark. Batarian economy cut off from colonies. Hegemony: "Comm buoy disruption due to solar output."

Is this the same part of space than where the alpha relay was destroyed? If it isn't I'm wondering if we'll be seeing updates for the next week leading up to ME3 for homeworlds of the other races reporting similar things as the reapers invaded striking everyone without notice and not ready to defend themselves.

New entries began appearing last week, however the entry to which you refer is the first of the new entries that substantially suggest a Reaper threat.

It took me a bit to figure out what the news was alluding to. At first I figured the Batarians were blaming humans for their troubles, which would make sense with the events of Arrival. But seeing as how it hit the Alliance, well I think we all know what that means.

I guess they made a stop and "harvested" quite some batarians as well, since they bring a lot of cannibals (the reapered batarians) to earth.
