The DLC content will install from the DVD with or without an internet connection, but it will remain locked (unplayable) until the game is registered here. The registration procedure requires an internet connection.
The DLC (once it is unlocked) does not require an internet connection during play.

I don't know about Xbox or PC, but for PS3, no internet connection is needed. Once the disc is inserted you will see 2 disc icons in the game menu. The first is Origins, the second is all the DLC. All you need to do is click and download each of the DLC's. Then launch Origins. When you select New Game, you will have the option of launching Origins, Awakening, or any of the DLC. Except Warden's Keep, The Stone Prisoner, and Return To Ostagar. Those are now part of Origins.

If you want you can use a pirate work around that an operator from Origin told me to use when they couldn't fix my problem
