Especially when we are playing AR focused classes. The whole thing just seems silly.
I like how more aggressive or more damage enemies deal in gold but their health is just too much. I remember once I was the only one left and was running turian sentinel with the revenant AR. Took me around 8 or 9 minutes or more to take out 2 altas.
Its ridicious. But most of all boring.

AR/SMG just dont do much damage in the demo. Anyone who uses them will suffer. Use Pistols instead and go for the heads.

I get what you are saying, but it is a fun challenge. The key is always sticking together, so communication is NECESSARY in gold.

Also I agree with the pistol thing. My only weapon is a Phalanx with the high caliber barrel. It does more damage than my Mattock and weighs very little, so I can blast 'em with my biotics.

Due to the Revenant's rarity it tends to be much less upgraded and thus weaker that the Avenger or the Mattock (Then there's of course the issue of the Revenant not being as good as in ME2). What level was your Revenant on?
Also, what do battleship guns have to do with this?

Avenger X with cloak damage buff takes down health very, very quickly, even on Gold. One (extended) clip will kill a phantom without shields, as long as you aim for the head and don't suck at shooting.

I don't notice as a Vanguard. It's still the same one headshot on Gold with the shotguns to kill.

Actually, with the right team, meaning a team that communicates and actually knows how to play their respective classes, Gold really is only a couple of tweaks harder than silver.

primarily, what makes gold more difficult is

- Shields and health have to be reduced seperately. So, for instance, a sniper shot to the head will rip shields, but not health.

- The number of Atlas enemies.

- Phantoms appear much earlier and in somewhat larger numbers.

Beyond that, Gold really is just the next difficulty notch up from Silver.

I dont have a problem with the difficulty. And yes I always aim for the head.
As I was saying, enemies have way too much health that makes the game boring and repetitive

Plus, it doesnt make sense to me how scrubs have more health than those "elite" forces we are playing.

Better questions would be why don't they make the Atlas less ****ty, why enemy shields don't regen, why Cerberus would hire and train people to fight with a sword in a world of mass accelerators and why the firearm companies don't make weapons that are even remotely effective against shields.

... Enemy shields DO Regen.

Obvious Bronze player is Obvious.

And those sword-people have a gorram HAND CANNON in their other hand. like, 600+ damage or something.

I've never seen it happen and I play on Gold, usually in two mans where one-shotting is essential (Vanguard and Infiltrator pair or two Infiltrators).

Shoot a nemesis. In the torso.  Then cloak, and follow her around.  In about ~10 seconds, you'll see her shields magically regen back up to her current health level.

shields and barriers both regen on enemies.
Also not sure how you are oneshooting anything, considering every enemy with shields/barriers needs at the very least two hits from either weapons or damage abilities.

So you either don't play gold or you don't know what one-shotting means.

I feel that Gold in ME 3 is more stupid than Insanity in ME 2 where a sniper could still hope to one shot an opponent. It is absolutely unforgiveable to disallow Infiltrators from one shotting enemies but continue forcing them to use single shot guns with incredibly long reload times.

This is why I play a Turian Sentinel sniper. Shield/barrier strip with overload, Widow round to the head. Next!
