fwiw I love the possible endings. My way of looking at it is what would you be prepared to sacrifice for your loved ones? If shep does indeed end up where the spoilers say then he will have made the ultimate choice to save lives and will know the price he will have to pay.

So far for me, the best game of all is ME1...
I guess that we're all here because of the previous games, but I, I'm here because of ME1 because I wanted to give closure to Shepard's history...but this...honestly this is bording betrayal.

Just being honest here...;)

ME1 was the best , at least as far as story goes. It stands alone as a complete story in it's own right. In every game since then everything has been reset. What you did in ME does not matter in ME2, what you did in ME1/2 does not matter in ME3.

A story where you "win" in ME and then timeskip to get to ME2 for the Reapers plan B (collectors) and then finally when the Reapers do arrive the Galaxy has been preparing for XX,000 years and then it's a bit more of an even field without having to make the Reapers "just another alien invasion".

Of course you can't have a single Protagonist in that case or the same crew. But we have seen the result of that with the way ME is written.

I think you have a very narrow view of how the creative process works. It is entirely possible to be both a trilogy and to be making stuff up as we go along? I mean, just because you plan to finish college in four years doesn't mean you can't change your major or swap classes around or take summer sessions or have to re-take classes that you fail.

Besides that, as long as you enjoy the series, what difference does it make? Just enjoy the game!

Difficult to enjoy this game knowing that no matter what you do, you (possibly) and your crew along with the rest of the galaxy are screwed and doomed, Mr.Woo.

Screwed in that life goes on for the survivors without Mass Relays.

There are other forms of FTL, you know. The whole 'alone and parted from the LI forever' thing is more than a little over-claimed.
