If all the fishy stories about ME3's ending is true, it pretty much destroys any MMO idea for the ME universe.
What happened to Bioware's ME MMO idea?

There's nothing that says any future games set in that universe have to be set after ME3.

Yeah you have roughly thirty years to play with (time humans have had contact with other species) with that time frame a MMO doesn't make sense.

The best setting for a MMO would be in the reconstruction period.

My guess is they want to gain mmo experiance via TOR before trying a ME universe based mmo. Though they could always pull an alternate timeline move to get around the end of ME series making a mmo hard.
Not to mention ME has the problem of dealing with the fact its largely a shooter type rpg.

MMO or not, I want to see a DA:O-style game based around becoming a spectre. You choose your species, you do something to become a spectre, you go quest and do spectre-y things and be all badass while trying to fight some Big Bad Whatever.
I want that game so much, I have it all worked out in my head already.
BioWare, feel free to contact me to work as consultant. I'm just sayin'.
