An extra ending in ME3 would just be a cinematic. The game is over by that point.

ME3 is not Fallout3. The thing with FO3 was it cut you off from the game and in a sandbox game that's a pretty big deal.

So true.
It is the end of a journey.

That would truely be a good design choice for this game.Kings19 wrote...

Hmmm, while I'm not sure I'd really want different endings DLC, I am curious about the game guide "secret" ending as the devs have hinted multiple times that there is a "best" ending that requires not only war assets but specific decisions to have been made. It also sounded in several of their statements like you might even need a specific import build to have the best chance of getting the best ending (not that it was impossible other ways, just harder). Guess I'll have to wait a week to find out for myself.
I hope this is the case. Make a (generally) happy ending be very hard to obtain if you don't know what you are doing, but not impossible.

I read somewhere from someone who read the leaks that this may very well be possible. At least how I understood it. On the other hand it was a bit vague.corporal doody wrote...

This would be too good to be true. Especially since it would kind of annoy people without imports (for whatever reason).DaJe wrote...

The funny thing about this is that only BSN is ****ing about the endings. BSN ****ES ABOUT EVERYTHING! BSN cannot picture an ending w/o sunshine and bunnies. If everyone survived in my first playthrough of ME2, I would not have loved the ending nearly as much as I do. I lost people, and it broke my heart. It made me more excited in ME3 to try and redeem this loss and remember it when i play ME3. The only problem is most of the BSN cannot wrap their minds around anything. When I read the script leak for the Earth part of the game I thought it looked horrible. But I did not fully judge w/o presentation. Guess What? I loved the opening to ME3 when I actually played it. Everyone who has played the game says the endings where satisfying. As usual all the BSNers will prejudge and **** all over everything until they get their hands on it and experience it themselves. Lemme tell you guys something. The rest of the world will love the endings, while most of the BSN will cry and moan and give up on bioware. The funniest thing of it all. The BSN will actually think that the fact that they all hate it, then everyone else has to hate it. STFU and GTFO BSN. =)

Generalization much?
Guess what? I think the rushed presentation of the begining did not do the story build up and magnitude of the event any justice and was way below what bioware can actually pull of.

As long as my choices leave me feeling like I've accomplished something, its a fine ending.
However, there is a portion of the community that likes a reasonably(and I mean reasonably) happy ending and not accommodating for them is an alienation. But hell what do the companies care anyway, they've already got our money at that point.

Anything is reasonable for a video game. If people want an ending where all their old friends survive and the galaxy is mostly intact after the war, that is a reasonable ending to want.
It may not be a probable ending, but for fiction its very reasonable.

Not for well wrote fiction it isn't.
That's called fanwanking; ThIS. IS. THE. REAPERS. We are not going to get a fairty tale ending.
Deal with it.

No I do.
Quit trying to get needless fan wanking into a rather realistic and well done series. Go play barbie land adventures if you want that kind of child-like fairy tale ending.
****ing ****ers man. Nothing better to do but complain needlessly.

While I'm not thrilled about the choices that seem to be presented, I find it important to keep in mind that what we "know" about the endings has been taken out of context.
The endings presented may very well make perfect sense once we have played through the story. Because by then, we will have experienced more of the story. Right now, we seem to be looking at the end choices and feeling outrage because we are judging the endings by what little we know of the story. Once we actually get to experience, we may indeed have a different feeling about it.
