^ here is a great example of why bioware/ea are not fully to blame for anything people may claim they are.

Agreed.

i agree, thanks to that guy EA / bioware gets *ideas* of charging us extra later :wizard::police:

So you think they did that for the ending so that people will pay 40 dollars for a dlc. You really haven't seen the ending don't you?

point is

I want to be able to replay ME3 20+ times....like ME1 and 2...with these endings I might not be able to....even with the perfect ending....

Also to the one who asked. The writer of the prima guide hinted that there may be a special ending for NG+ runs. No one found it yet tho.

No I just think it is generally not a good idea to give them extra money for 'bad' endings. One reason I never bought a DA2 DLC.

I have an important question. I realize everyone said that the best ending is not what is expected. Regardless of that, is the ending at least good even if things won't be what they are expected to be? If this can't be answered without spoilers then I would suggest that no one say anything.

Pretty much impossible to answer without spoilers.

Damn it. Are the endings good at least?

Depends what you think a good ending is. You have to read the spoilers to know if you like them. So there is the dilemma. Get a surprise and don't know what it is. Or check it out and the surprise moment playing the game is gone.

I'm not saying it was dont so they could sell a dlc later, clearly you didn't read my last post on my exact thoughts on why it was done, not even a page back. I am saying, if companies know that people are going to buy whatever they put out, including things like endings, and they WILL make money off of it, and people in the community are asking for it, well, I don't see much reason they wouldn't

Why because Im willing to pay extra money just to have a decent ending to my favorite franchise of all time. Also
you don't have to buy the DLC.

I'm not going to read the spoilers. I hope I'm not disappointed, I was expecting the Galaxy to be left in shambles after everything ends regardless of what you get or don't get. However I don't want everything to have been completely pointless. I hope that's not the case.

No it is because it could become a business strategy to make bad endings and then sell the good endings. And we don't want that. We are getting ripped off pay enough already.

It's not going to be pointless because you beat the Reapers. No more cycles, some species surely survive, etc. It may just not be a 'good' ending on a personal level for Shepard and friends.

I think only a very very few want Happy kitten rainbow endings. But then again, Why not include that as an option For those that /do/ want it. Afterall We are Shepard, this is our story. I'm in the camp of.. I wouldn't mind a happy fluffy ending, But it wouldn't be my main choice of ending. I want some bittersweet. I'm also in the camp of WTF at the leaked endings. I don't think that having the choice of having at least ONE ending that is bittersweet, rather than just bitter and/or Depressing and brutal is too much to ask. As a DIE HARD ME fan since it came out in the beginning I actually briefly considered not buying the game after spoiling myself, That said.. only briefly. I will buy the game.. But needless to say The endings I've read.. Just make me want to let the reapers win outright ....

It is actually depressing that people are asking for an ending dlc and the Game hasn't come out. I too will pay for
a better ending.

That's better. One last question, in your opinion was it a good ending?

We thought Bioware had learnt from DA2 that shoving a horrible ending down our throats no matter what we did was a bad idea...we were wrong. As much as I hate unnecessary DLC, I would shell out $20-30 for an alternate ending DLC.

Thing is not about what Bioware learned. It is what about bioware costumers learned. Which is indeed nothing.

I'm fine with that. I don't want everyone to be alive and go out for ice cream after we defeat the Reapers. That would diminish their impact as bad guys. They are technologically superior. LOTS of people should have to sacrifice their lives in order to make sure they don't wipe us out. If half of Shepard's team (and even Shepard himself) were to die, I wouldn't necessarily call it a "bad" ending. If it's well written and delivers an emotional impact, I'll probably enjoy it anyway. And I'll even give BioWare props for taking a risk and not having the usual "kill all the bad guys, everybody lives, get the girl, skip off into the sunset" moment.

I have not read the endings since I prefer to discover them after I play the game, but I can't help to be curious... are they 100% legit?

I don't know but maybe it would be an idea to make a poll with the options 'liked the endings', 'didn't like the endings' and 'didn't read the endings'. So we could see the actual numbers. I mean I can't tell if people complaining are just whiny or those who love the endings are some sort of emo/let the world burn kind of people.

Thats kinda the problem with only a few having the say/have played the game. We can only choose to beleive, or not to beleive

The only point one can argue by now is that it's not likely that those who got to play the game early have already seen everything there is to see. There can be no doubt as to the validity of the data currently known to the spoilers group.
