In preparation for the actual game launch can we please limit this to threads actually requesting tech support and start locking/deleting the threads that are complaining about graphics/FOV/non bug things.

This forum is for crashes, for bugs, for problems. Not for features, or graphics or complaints. And it should be limited to that. If you need tech support thats one thing if not your just getting in the way of people who need actual help.

Fov = bug, should be changed... is most definitely a technical support issue and a health risk for those heavily impacted by the low FOV.

Graphics... half of the likely to be bugs/issues that are to come up will be graphics related.. if your talking texture quality, that could still be technical related.

I am talking texture quality, unless we get a high res pack people are going to moan about this and it should not be done here. I'm sure mods can sort through the ones taht are actually bugs and the ones that are complaints.

FOV is not a bug, a bug is something that is not designed to happen, Bioware engineers put in the numbers and gave us the FOV. It may not be good or proper but it is designed and therefore a complaint. Not something that belongs in tech support.

So the game is designed to cause nausea and migraines?

I would rather think that was a bug, than think that was intentional.

Yes, the FoV in the demo caused both for me. Totally crippling. I would really, really hate to think that was designed to happen.

Thus, it is an issue with the PC version of the game. Where else do I post about an issue with the PC version of the game?

It obviously wasn't designed to give you a headache, don't be obtuse. The FOV is perfectly functional so there is no bug, it's purely a matter of personal preferrence.

Sigh. I'm not being obtuse.
Narrow FoV in computer games is known to cause headaches and nausea. That's not exactly 'personal preference', more like 'requirement for health reasons'.

So, yes. Unless they somehow absolutely did not know that narrow FoV is known to cause headaches and/or nausea, then.. yes. It was intentional. They just bet on it not affecting enough people to bother their bottom line.

I was attempting to give them the benefit of the doubt. Plus, I've waited years to have the chance to finish my story. Knowing I absolutely will not be able to is rather upsetting.

And, again. This is an issue affecting the PC version of the game, and possibly only certain players of the PC version of the game. Where else should this problem be posted about, aside from the forum specifically for PC issues? That was mainly my point in my post in this thread. Where else should a PC problem belong?

Right, some people prefer not to get motion sick while playing video games when a zero-effort solution is available.

Yes. once the game launches, this thread will be exclusively for those experiencing problems or have questions and concerns with their game, install, settings, etc. and wish to receive help from their peers. Official technical support will be provided by EA, as usual.

so once the game launches, please report (via private message) any off-topic threads and we'll look into it. Thank you.

End of line.
