When you got lvl 20 characters and for the 'n' time you purchase character training in vet pack which goes to 'waste' a man can get annoyed.
No new weapons or other races/genders unlocks, but yeah, lets have a lvl 20 infiltrator character training <_<
Will this be the case in shipping game as well? One would thought its easy to devise a system which flags 'obsolete upgrades' for redundancy... as not to take from their pool when you buy novice or vet packs.
I surely hope this will be adressed.

Not to mention the dissapearing hotkeys. Gamebreaking really...

You guys forgot that your characters get promoted and resets to level 1?

This seems to happen on an hourly basis. I've stopped bothering to remind everyone.

Damn, read things wrong. When your MP character gets to lvl 20 you can "promote" them, and that will help you to achieve the best SP ending.

I think when your lvl20 gets promoted it adds to the SP campaign as a war asset

That's... pretty neat, actually. Does that put them in your "war assets" room on the Normandy? That's probably wishful thinking. (Do they really restart back at level one?)

But I have to say, seeing a character that I created on the freaking Normandy might just move me to kiss several Canadians.

The hotkey glitch is easily avoided. Drop out of your lobby to switch characters, then rejoin lobby.

I was thinking character promotion would go like this: when you promote a character, you have to unlock it again. Hope I'm wrong!!!

What's with the obsession with abbrevs. ? I thought this was about servers in the united states.

A more relevant thought... The galaxy at war may need you to place individual units on dfferent points in the larger war. So you might use promote to have multiple units of the same class so that ypu can use your favorite class more than once.

No you just have to level it again, the character cards still drop when level capped on the demo because they give exp, which in the full game will useful when you're constantly promoting stuff.

EDIT: And someone said eariler that you need to do promotions to get the best single player ending, this is not true, promoting multiplayer characters into the single player as war assets lets you get to the best single player ending without doing massive amounts of side quests in the single player, you can reach that ending by mixing as much of both modes as you like.

Is it because of promote or readiness or whatever it is called? :D

Yeah, except it's not so easy finding the same game again, unless you got a friend in it ^^

If you're playing with randoms, it doesn't matter. If you like them a lot, add them Origin first before dropping out.

But why do we have to keep getting those packs so frequently?

80% of the Veteran packs I purchase contain fully unlocked lvl 20 characters, which makes it exceedingly difficult to unlock anything rare.

oh wouldn't it be glorious if you could use your multiplayer character as a companion if you promote them?
