Dude seriously nobody cares that your boycotting it. You just made somebodies day by canceling your pre-order. Your going to end up playing it anyways, just like every other person who is boycotting it.

It is not vital to the lore or the story. Everything is learned in the base game, the squadmate is merely there for the ride and to add flavor. This was stated by the developers themselves multiple times.bigmacdaddy12 wrote...

Have seen that too many times in here already. When DA2 came out and bad reviews were made, almost all of the casual gamers declared, "DA2 sucks, I'm cancelling my order!" or whatever. After a few days, guess who are back? Nyahahahaha!
