It would be nice to at least have some idea of cardinal directions in maps, don't you think? That way you've got a frame of reference to better inform your teammates of incoming threats if you (and/or they) don't have location names memorized. While there are many occassions where "Phantom in the hallway" or "Turret downstairs" might be sufficient, there are cases where simple phrases like that might still be ambiguous. I'd like to be able to say "Phantom, East hallway" or "Turret, South stairs!" or even "Enemy group dropping from the North!"

Do you think a compass would be helpful, or do you think it would clutter up the UI or perhaps serve as a distraction? Even if a compass was not set up, having some frame of reference for where North is would open up better channels of communication, in my opinion.
