So I've finished ME1 and want to import my character to ME2. If I change my character's appearance, will it affect gameplay? Will NPCs comment on the change or will I be treated differently?

The fun part is that you can completely change your look and everyone will still recognize you. Game logic, everybody!

May be it's your smell. Given how often (read: never) Shepard showers, they can probably recognise your body odour from a lightyear away.

@snapper.fishes - now, now, FemShep has the possibility to shower like... once... in the entire game... and only because she likes a guy.
