Where are you basing that opinion on, fancy trailers or the demo?

Im bieng optimistic, and different then everyone else. i don't care about the fancy trailers, this is the final installment of mass effect, you can't sit there and say its going to suck when none of us has even played it yet. And i can bet you that no matter what you say, you'll still buy it, and have at least 3 or 4 play throughs, so what does it matter anyway?

the game is going to be epic Image IPB

OMG. Kotor 2 is amazing

If you still have Kotor 2 then please go play it with this.

http://deadlystream....unofficial-fix/

It has such a great story and like anything Obsidian improved upon the original.

I never throw away anything. I might give it a try someday. Can't remember exactly why I stopped playing it but I was way past the middle of the game and something must have happened. Like bad timing perhaps. =)

Also, me wishing ME3 "can't fail" is based in my thinking that the more developers of great games there are, the better for us gamers. It would be a real pitty for BW to go Westwood. I enjoyed that little "diablo-style" game of theirs which made the waiting for D2 bearable. (what was the name of it? it was a fun game) hehe (oh yeah, Nox).

KoA is so far removed from sandbox or exploration its not even funny.
All those corridors in between each zone I swear its like a damn MMO.  The extremely forgettable story doesn't help things either.  If it weren't for the combat I wouldn't have gotten as far as I did.  I regret getting this game but at least it wasn't a total waste.

It's the prequel to a planned MMO.

lol why am I not surprised?

Why is that? Should all of us be mindless consumers?

I mean don't get me wrong, I was planning to actually doing that but the demo has given me doubts.

So where am I supposed to base my purchase on? I thought that was the point of a demonstration?

Sheer hype won't do the trick for me.

I think that Bioware will probably take a big hit to their reputation, and there may or may not be some firings at their studios.

If it fails, Bioware will have a bad reputation among gamers. I guess...

I can use that to add to what I know.

Kinect takes memory.

The demo gives you access to every class and every build (on paper).

Unless you are willing to overlook that for the story, then the demo is all you need.

You need to improve your persuasion skill.

If the demo is meant to get people excited for ME3 and he didn't why should he expect something great? Because of Bioware's name? Bioware's name isn't what it once was.

I don't really get people like you and here is why. You spend £XX on ME3 and you may or may not be disapointed. Someone spends no money on ME3 and they are happy with that choice.

If ME3 sucks you are boned and we all say " I told you so". Like after DA2 was released.
If ME3 does not suck, then it's not like every copy of ME3 will suddenly vanish and you will never be able to play it.

i only buy 2 or 3 games a year, and i happen to like DA2. and i have no regrets to what game i buy.  i thought the demo and the multiplayer was great, and if you dont think so, then so what? i'm still going to buy it because i waited 4 months since my pre order. And if your right that the game is bad as you  say, then i can return it and get a refund, no big deal.

Wait, if you play a game and don't like it you can give it back and get your money back?

It's an option for console owners as long as they did not order digital. Some stores are easier than others but the missing content not being on the outside of the box makes it easy in the UK.

HA!  BSN is such "the sky is falling" crowd.  99% of the people who play ME3 don't even come to these forums.

As long as the story holds up, all indications point to this being a fitting finale to the series.  Original squad members back, mods, bigger skill trees, ramifications of leveling due to weapon weight means decisions matter over different systems, return of XP for in mission objectives, resource mining seems to have a cool twist to it and the MP is suprisingly fun.

Other than some funky animations(Which ME has always had!) and textures, both of which Bioware have addressed(And frankly are minor points to the game IMO), I really can't see any indication on why or how this game would fail.  And if pre-orders are any indication, it won't.

True enough but you should never underestimate the knock on effect it has in the wider market.

Do keep in mind with regards to the demo that a lot of dialogue was cut from the Sur'kesh portion and with not having the ability to change weapon loadout, it made abilities have much longer cooldowns than you can have in the final game, thereby changing the experience for a lot of people. So it's not 100% indicative of the retail game.

Stanley, how come companies like Blizzard can take as long as they damn please to make a game? What's preventing Bioware from doing the same?

Just guessing, of course, since I don't know their inner workings, but it makes a whole lot of sense: fewer, bigger titles, popular franchises, a gigantic fanbase in an even bigger potential market, and past successes. Also, regular money coming in from one of their ongoing workhorse titles.

But I'm sure they have their issues with deadlines and releases; their cycles are just a lot longer than everyone else's and somewhat sustainable.

Bioware is not just Bioware, they are under EA, and if EA is enforcing a deadline, Bioware will need to make the best of it.

Blizzard however....
Blizzard knows their succes hinges on their franchises with huge fanbases. If they dont deliever a game with the upmost quality, then their whole company will suffer, fans will never forget if they make a big mistake, because their games are so good.

They also got a vast amount of resources to make sure they can pos-prone deadlines, if they dont feel like they are ready now. They rather make the most perfected game they can without waiting too long, than release a game when it is good enough.

Which is actually rather surprising since they joined with Activision, who we all know how works. It seems Blizzard have a pretty good leash on them, when it comes to deadlines in the end.

tl:dr  Blizzard games are built on their succes of never failing and "too-big-to-fail" games, they must be hits or it could be catastrophical.
