I talked my friend into giving the ME3 demo a try and he can't download it. Everytime he tries, he gets an error message. I thought maybe it was just his computer, but when I used his account info on my computer, it gave me the exact same error. Note that my demo still connects and works just fine, but for some reason it won't let him download it. Also, this is in the US, so the German part of the error message is especially confusing. Below is the error message that is recieved on both computers.


We're sorry, but you do not meet the requirements to download this game.

There was a problem initiating your download. Please try again later.

We're sorry, but due to the German youth protection laws, this game may not be downloaded between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM.

You already own this game. If it does not appear in your My Games library, please try the Refresh My Games option from the Settings menu.

We're sorry, this game is currently unavailable. The Origin store is experiencing unusually high load. Please try again later.

"You can still download the ME3 demo and any other game in the "Free games" page by using your Web browser (Firefox, Chrome, IE D-: ...) to go to http://store.origin.com/ . There, look for "Free games" at the top right after logging in, and then you can choose to download the demo. This will automatically start the download in Origin if it's installed."

already had it downloaded but i could get in fine. US here

second thought: maybe it is a age restriction?

I'm 23. I'm listed as such in my profile, and I also live in the United States. Very few of the error messages make sense.

Same problem here - in Australia though. Looks like a widespread issue . I'll try again in a few hours.

Thanks for the heads up. You'd think that someone would put a sticky at the top of the forum that says "Hey, Origin is broken again. Here's the workaround." Again, thanks for the heads up, I'll try this whenever I get back from work.
