Hey guys I have a quick question for you. I usually dont play vanguard and try to leave it to those with the talent for that playstyle. I did however level a vanguard to 20 mostly through bronze so I wasnt a burden on silver teams. Recently I decided to start practicing with my human female on silver and I would say for the most part I rarely die..usually once every few matches, but I am never the top score, I am almost always second and never far from the first place person, but from what I hear vanguards are supposed to wreck the scoreboards. I tried to do the charge-nova-charge and in some areas it wasnt so bad although I did find myself on the hairy edge of dying many times and I could easily see myself getting killed quite a bit that way in gold. The playstyle I have been using is more of a charge the backline and work my way forward keeping an eye out for high priority targets.
 
My question is do you better vanguards charge the front line and cause chaos and depend on the nova and charge to do the best it can to keep you alive (meaning I need to get better with the charge-nova-charge tactic) or do you take a more tactical approach and pick and choose your targets?

Talking more towards silver and gold vanguard players...
