Just remember, no matter how awful ME3s endings might be, it will still be better than Final Fantasy XIII-2s

Good lord that was a horrid ending.

(Spoilers!)

Not only does the main heroine die, you find out the whole game was pretty useless, the timeline collapses, and everything gets dissolved into nothingness and chaos, Lightning gets frozen in ice and then ``To be Continued`` shows up.

If ME3 manages to top that awfulness, I`ll almost be impressed.

I just really don't want the mass relays to blow up. Please Bioware...no!

All they have to do is slap a "to be continued" on there, right? XD

Lololo

But did you really expect anything different? I mean, XIII was already a joke from end to end.

So...what, they've got plans for an XIII-III?

At what point does Squeenix's naming system for FF descend into self-parody?

FF XIII-2 didn't have a "horrid" ending.

It had an extremely extremely depressing ending, but it was well done.

How was it good in anway? The entire story was filled with so many plot holes, in the end I gave up and just tried to enjoy the game as best as I could.

lol. if the mass relays are destroyed with the reapers the sol relay will destroy the entire sol system and earth regardless. and from whan i remember from leaked script non of the 7 endings described to destroy the relay if they dindt add that later and the perfect ending is that shepard merges with the reapers and probably makes it. think about it almost every thing is destroyed with the releays fing everything!, and why dindt bioware crack down on nda violators.

It was good because it was completely in line with what the game had said before. H*ll, it even has a voice flashback that shows you that, had the player REALLY been paying attention, they would have anticipated it.

That's asking for a lot these days.

what, for the player to pay attention? lol, yeah.

But at the very least, when the sh*t hits the fan, the voiceover comes, and you can distinctly remember the villain saying those words. So while the ending is initially unexpected, It is not unjustified.

That's like expecting worse case scenario and something similar to a Deus Ex back in ME 1.

At least Lightning has pretty hair.

You fight for 40-50 hours to prevent a timeline from being destabilized and destroyed, you both get "killed" at one point, and in the end, none of the things you did throughout the game mattered in any way, because the moment it looked like you won, fate decided to kick the characters in the balls.

What's worse is that if you complete all the optional content (collecting the fragments and completing the extra missions), the only thing that changes is the villain rubbing his nose in the player's face for wasting their time.

It's the very definition of a "Shoot The Shaggy Dog" ending. That's beside the point, though. No matter what I think of ME as a whole, I'm fairly confident that more effort and thought will be put into 3's ending that SquareEnix did with XIII-2.

The actual game isn`t half bad. I enjoyed it, for the most part. Not the best game and pretty forgettable, but it`s better than X-2.

XIII-2's ending wasn't the best in the world, no, but I never saw any plotholes in the story, because most everything is explained. And perhaps there are a couple and maybe they were left unexplained on purpose till XIII-3 or the right episode DLC comes out. You know, to create speculation and fan theories? Or at least, we used to do that. Now we just whine and complain about everything.

I bet the issue of XIII will show up later, so i'll go ahead and say the game does explain things eventually, when you need to find out about those things. No one tells you to search through the Datalog (the games Codex) to find that you need, I never did.

By a country mile and then some. ;) Really didn't like X-2, though that's the only one I didn't like. Though it had one of the best ATB systems in the series.

Then, why did you look in the thread which would clearly be discussing it's ending from the title alone?
