Any one saying "I want it to not become DLC because it's CE" is selfish and ignorant. Seriously. (Especially when you can't even find a CE anywhere now...)

1. The point of Collectors Edition DLC(Hoodie, Dog, N7 weapons, etc) is to be exclusive. You're LUCKY they decided to release From Ashes for the general public.

2. That's your own damn fault for thinking that it would be available a month before release.

"Oh yeah, the collectors edition for that super amazing and hyped ending to one of the greatest Sci-Fi gaming trilogys of this generation. Ill wait till the last minute to order, they better still have the Collectors Edition!"

3. Stop thinking you're entitled to anything.

I agree with Descy, the point of us paying extra money to get a collectors edition is because it is better then the regular edition and has its perks. I think its beyond stupid that they are giving From the Ashes to everyone but hey what can you do. The last point is most of the people crying right now I am sure are the people who waited to preorder the Ce and now its too late, guess what, its your own fault for waiting so accept the consequence please.

Depends what platform you playin on?
If your on PC you can just upgrade the preorder by going DDE and canceling the SE. If your on console however, I doubt it.

Thanks Spittooned. Origins just refunded me my payment and I can buy Deluxe edition. Yay!

All I have to do is enter live chat. Refunds only work for preorders guys.

No, you're lucky you can buy the Prothean, considering they said it was going to be an exclusive character and mission.

Buying on the internet always gives you 1 4 days return policy at least.

Hi, I bought my ME 3 SE recently just before I discovered Deluxe comes with N7 Arsenal pack. I really like those designs so can I ask bioware  if they will release the pack as a separate DLC? I'm sure there are people who could'nt buy CE or DE and want to get the pack as well..

Or could I get  a refund to buy DE instead?Posted Image

May be a case for offering something like this to UK consumers, since the Game and Gamestop debacle that broke in the news this morning. Potentially a great many consumers who pre-ordered months ago could find themselves without the CE version.

How is it greedy? If I am buying a COLLECTOR's edition, I want stuff I can COLLECT. AKA limited edition not available anywhere else.

There's nothing limited about the arsenal pack, DDEs are not limited and you get it there. What's the big deal about letting people who want part of the stuff to get it for part of the price?

Good lord you're all insane.

If Bioware cared about money, they would see this as an opportunity. Not the first time they screwed over the fans.

No, don't buy the DDE edition.  Digital editions should never cost the same as the physical editions especially since a purchase through Origin nets EA/Bioware 100% of my sale.  It's a garbage practice and $80 is a complete ripoff for some ****ing pdf files and digital items.  Make it $70 and I'd go for it.  Instead, I'll spend $40 for the local retail version + $10 for From Ashes and I'll acquire the N7 Arsenal Pack through more nefarious means unless Bioware offers it as a legitimate DLC purchase.

Hell, I'd have paid $70 for just the DLC character and the in-game items.  I don't care about pictures, soundtracks, and all that other superfluous crap.  Give me stuff I can use in-game, not stuff I'll look at once and toss out.

Exactly. I'm with Descy_  on this one. I've had mine pre-ordered since it was announced all those months ago. My only beef is with retailer exclusive DLC. That kinda irks me. If I buy the "Super Ridiculous Ultra Uber Collector's Naughty Edition" I should be getting all the bonuses. Releasing it later is ok I suppose but it's still kinf of an irritation. But Collector's Edition is CE for a reason...

I see nothing wrong with this, as long as it's not free. I think the dog will be put up first though.

In-game content should be available as DLC to buy for everyone, in my opinion. Collector's editions should include physical items as well as in-game content but not make any of that in-game content exclusive... As for the digital deluxe edition, that should perhaps not cost $79.99 and instead cost $69.99 or something and include stuff like the soundtrack as well as the same in-game content in the collector's edition. Because, honestly, a digital art book and lithograph have ZERO value.

Then, to make sure there's an incentive to pre-order just price the in-game content to all together cost more than the difference between the standard edition and digital deluxe edition, which in my example is $10. That way, people who pre-order get a good deal yet people who get the standard edition or who don't pre-order can still "complete" their in-game content collection, should they want to.

Wait...people honestly believe they won't be selling the extra weapon packs at a later date for extra profit? You...honestly think they will pass on extra profit for no extra work? In spite of the history of pre-order and CE DLC being overwhelmingly released, sometimes less than two weeks after release? Wow...some of the people on this board are really special.

This is what I'm thinking. It wouldn't really be fair for those people who preordered through Game just to have it canceled on them last minute. Also, are people saying others are "entitled" for asking if they can pay for some extra in-game content?!? I can understand not selling the physical stuff separately to keep it as collector's items but the in-game stuff? I think that should be available for purchase.

Also wanted to add this would be cool for me. I don't want to cancel my pre-order of SE since I pre-ordered it during that time Origin was offering free copies of BF3 with pre-orders, but I would be interested in buying the pack separately if I find myself with some extra cash to burn.

Forget the N7 arsenal pack being separate DLC, I want the N7 Warfare pack(N7 Valkyrie & Defender Armour) to be available as DLC. I'm one of those UK unfortunates whose pre-order was screwed out of them by Game.co.uk *spits* I've thankfully managed to get another copy from Sainsbury's, but it looks like I wont be getting the N7 Warfare Pack or the M55 Argus Rifle. So these should be made available, at least on he UK marketplace for those of us caught up with this utter clusterfudge!!

Just like the collector assault rifle as well as the gamestop exclusive content for ME2 right? But, yeah, we're special

i bought my ce for all the in-game stuff, all the other garbage is useless, has no real purpose, and goes in the recycle bin if everything for a digital game that is ce exclusive is publically downloadable a few weeks down the road, i would never buy a ce again

that said. pre-order bonuses, after a few months, should absolutely be dlc, simply due to often the variety in content from different sellers, and the nature of pre-order being for purchasing one game.

You never know with developers and publishers. Batman Arkham City had Robin DLC released weeks after its launch and it was a Bestbuy Exclusive (I think), and they also released costumes for Batman and one was a Pre-order exclusive for Powerup Reward Members at Gamestop.

Gears of War 3 didn't follow a similar route, instead, the coupled the Pre-Order Store exclusive Characters as new characters in there DLC installments and changed up their appearance (different color basically) and dubbed them "limited". Also the Liquid Green Weapon skin was a Jack in the Box Exclusive, but was released later as DLC.

What I'm trying to say, is that it can happen and has happened for, it mainly depends on Electronic Arts and how hard Bioware fights to make it happen. Granted for the Xbox 360 they haven't released Collectors Armor, or Terminus armor (with their respective guns) as DLC for Mass Effect 2, but I still have a little hope for Mass Effect 3 and the N7 Arsenal Pack.

for the collectors editon chances are it will remain for the collectors. for the pre orders however it has to do with the contracts that ea signs with the respected retailer as to if they have rights to release the dlc to the public or not
