dog comes with a mission to save his assembly line brothers and gain his loyalty

Dog loyalty must be earned through scanning dog with dog bone (additional 2358123495875 Bioware points). Once you scan dog you must wait 1-3 business days to scan dog again. If dog agrees with scan you will get a fun "yipee" bark from dog and he will do a backflip (unless you have green dog because he is duck taped to side of ship). If dog doesn't agree with scan reaper comes and eats him then you must buy dog dlc again because then dog is dead and if dog is dead you can't scan dog no more. Dog funeral can be purchased as dlc for 235718295725 Bioware points.

I don't get it why must people insist on posting TB's video when he has no evidence to support his case. Note proir examples of free Day 1 DLC don't count...why? They have nothing to do with this game nor how this game was developed.

And what IS evidence? Some PR guy telling you that EA storm troopers are going to start executing developers (and baby seals) if they don't make day 1 DLC that they can sell?

Yeah, unless you work for EA/Bioware you probably won't know the truth behind this DLC for 100% certainty. But considering the past, considering that this is EA/Bioware and considering they couldn't design a more tempting day 1 DLC for loyal fans to fork over more money on, I'm going with TB on this one.

Evidence is the material that we have at hand and as you say no one will know 100% the truth because no one here, outside of the mods, works for BioWare/EA.
It is funny that you are siding with TB, because he doesn't have evidence of jack about this game or it's DLC, when you state the prior about being 100% certain. Also taking the word of a journalist who again can't know over taking the word of a developer (With a grain of salt) is ludicris.

I wanted the Varren from Krogan homeworld that followed me. It would be funny to hear EDI.
EDI: "Shepard, your Varren left another surprise in the Comm room."
Shepard: "EDI you should teach him how to use the toilet."
EDI: "Shepard he is you pet. Besides I am running out of mechanical arms due to his bite. I could always introduce him to the Airlock."
Shepard: "Ok EDI, I will train him."

I perosnally dont take the word of either. I take my own feelings on the issue. I'm sure as hell not taking the word of a developer/publisher. They will lie to thier own mother if it means more money.

But for arguments sake lets say you do believe Bioware. Fine. But honestly how can you possibly be "ok" with the only Prothean in the game being DLC to get as a squadmate? That alone is a clear money grab and nothing more. You simply cant defend it.

TB is simply mirroring how I feel about it. I have as much information as he does and I simply reach the same conclusions. And yeah, I don't take any consideration into what a CM says because it's his bloody job to lie to me, it's what he is paid for.

So you can look at what we do know, that Bioware has indeed released free day 1 DLC before (I'd like to hear how many developers were fired over those), that other developers release free day 1 (or day 60) DLC, that Bioware will use any opportunity to **** (oldest profession in the world) out their products to make an extra buck (like putting in half quests into the game and have NPCs ask you to insert $X if you want to continue), the fact that the Prothean was in a script leaked months before the game was done even though they apparently only worked on it after production was over, and again, the fact that out of all the possible irrelevant side quests they could have cut out they decided it had to be the most lore crucial one, the one that will absolutely get all the hardcore fans excited so they could sell it to them for extra profit. But sure, nothing is conclusive, but if all you've got to believe otherwise is the word of Bioware well, again, I'm with TB on this one.

From Ashes is not required to play so why cry over them charging for something that adds to experience. I guess you just do not want the programers that worked hard to get it out on Day one of the Release. Wait or is this just another crying spat that you did not get a collector edition because you waited till last min?

Iiiif you are wondering, there is an official statement from Bioware concerning this, and it reads perfectly reasonable. It's here on this forum, too, so why you keep whining?
