Battlestar Galactica

Definetly a big influence, I think. Even Tricia is here as EDI. The Merge ending is very close to the new beginning with humans and humanoid cylons in BG also.

And the Sheppard ending, like Starbuck ending, is a bitter pill to swallow for the fans.

I understand why much of the fans are pissed, but I like the endings anyway. And new 'stone age' isn't the same as total extinction by any means. Civilizations can continue evolving without reaper technology instead of fade away. That's the point of it.

Don't know much about the ending spoilers, but from the little I gathered: Humanity and Co. end up stranded on some world with no tech basically. To me that sounds like a BSG rip-off, which is pretty lame.

I am waiting for the Plot summary to be ammended on wikipedia and ME wiki myself, so I can read the actual verified endings.

Not exactly. What ends with the Reapers are the Mass portals to travel. Technology developed by organic beings still exists.

And yes, I see points from BSG, but there are enough differences to not be exactly the same. Anyway if Bioware want to rip off something is better to copy my favourit Sci Fi TV Show than anything else :P

Oh? Yeah, if it's just the Relays, then it's not at all like BSG! haha

I gotta say, the religious mumbo jumbo of that show took a lot of effort for me to overcome, but yeah - it is definitely a cool show.

I like the mistery sorrounding god/ angels in BSG. A lot is left to viewer own interpretation, which is cool.

And about ME3 ending, yes it is in the same vein, but still it seems that the fate of the reapers/ humanity/ alien races is different if we choose one option or the other.

Anyway, half of a good ending is about HOW it is delivered. So I will wait to give my final opinion until I see the ending by myself.

It seems more Dune to me. the only way to save the universe is to end what is manipulating it.

The endings are already being discussed in this thread. Please take your discussion there. Thank you.

End of line.
