Dont let other people question why you were being a nice mum and buying for your daughter. You know why, you need not explain to anyone else.

I can't let this comment go or maybe it wasn't toward me(which I apologize).I would just like to say I was saying what I said to attack someone who wanted to buy a game for their daughter. When I was younger my Mom and Dad bought me plenty of games that were violent and what not.I was mature enough to know it's a game , I don't see anything wrong with it.

www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/money/4162568/Game-group-in-crisis-as-supplier-pulls-plug.html

"A memo revealed Game and Electronic Arts had fallen out over "credit terms".

It means Game will no longer receive Mass Effect 3, the largest game of the
year so far, or other March releases.

The row means Game may also miss out on Mario Party 9, and FIFA 13.

Game earlier this month struck a deal with banks to avoid breaching the terms
of its loans.

But today's blow will send thousands of customers into the open arms of rivals
such as Amazon and the supermarkets.

Shares crashed 12 per cent to just 5p.

The memo, written by Tom Devine, group channel director, shows EA refused to
amend its credit terms to give Game a big enough profits margin.

It says: "Last week we held an industry event for our partners in the industry
and explained the challenges we are facing in the short-term — and we asked
for their support.

"We asked them to trade with us using manageable credit terms, and for them to
continue to do that whilst we work through the strategic review and
re-financing our business.

"We gave the industry commitments — we committed to integrity and openness in
our dealings, and working with everyone equally.

"We committed to only stocking products on which we could get the right credit
terms, regardless of the title or the supplier.

"We will not stock products if their terms are not right for our business — we
will not sacrifice long-term credit requirements for short-term sales
opportunities.

"As a result of us taking this position — a position that we believe is
critical to our long-term health as a business — we have taken the very
difficult decision not to stock EA's March releases."

Game insisted it was confident the dispute would be "short-term".

In an official statement, Game said those who had paid a deposit for Mass
Effect would get a refund — as well as £5-worth of reward points."

Long-term health? Don't count on it.

She's not a young child, she is 18 in July, for the record.... (purely for clarity)

Try it, it's rated 15 here.

Also - FYI... She is 18 in July, for all you know it could be a birthday gift.... It isn't, but it could be.... and even so... she's plenty old enough... not everywhere has a stick up their *ss about a bit of bad language and some flesh :P The UK is pretty relaxed about this as you should know, since you seem to be in the UK :innocent:

My mistake  - so used to seeing the US Box cover art, I figured it was 18 here in the UK aswell.

Here's hoping for plenty of asari breasticles and lots of Krogan swearing. :D

Sorry about your situation with Shopto. Sucks. I don't think there's a problem with a 1 per customer policy, but they should have made that clear at the time of ordering. It's not really fair to announce it now and apply it retrospectively - even if they are doing it with the best of intentions. HMV I think still have Xbox versions.

Nah, first one was 15 second one was 12 (dry humping FTW :P ) And this one back up to 15 :)

And anyway, the age ratings are more guidelines than rules until you get to 18 + :P
Age ratings

I did put in an order with HMV, but as I said... I DTA now, I've been let down twice in as many days....

HMV have the Xbox and PS3 versions available.

Grainger Games still have PS3 and PC versions available.

Blockbuster still have the PS3 version available

Sainsbury's still have the PS3 version available

Gamestop still have the PS3 version available

It's fine, it wasn't even aimed at you, iyswim?

I was just getting fed up of people implying I was being selfish wanting more than *my fair share* but my fair share is the amount I had the good common sense to order 9 months ago, you know..
And I was just feeling like other people thought I was flipping well stealing the copies out of someone else's hand and commenting thusly..... instead of.. oh.. I dunno.. not assuming you have ALL the facts in your possession and someone might just be justified in being peeved...

Thanks, MonkeySeeker.  This is good info for those that still need to secure a copy.

I don't think anyone was making accusations, so much as trying to explain why the situation may have occurred.

I know what occured, I'm not stupid.... and I am entitled to think is unfair... and maybe if you had read everything you might just agree with me instead of quibbling with me...
''Unless you opinion affects their opinion your opinion matters not at all'' :)

And for the record... I said I *FELT* like that.... as in feeling, not stating it as fact. Big difference.

Okay, all right.  I'm sorry you feel that way.  You quoted me on the last page as if I've been "quibbling" with you, and until now I don't feel I have been.  I've just been trying to contribute to the discussion to help better understand why they--Shopto.net, was it?--may have done what they have done.  You've gotten on the defensive, and it's understandable given your circumstances, but honestly.  Would you rather be upset or try to find an explanation and an alternative means of securing your pre-order?  We've all been screwed by the GAME fiasco, so we can relate in some sense.

You quoted me before and said you were done quibbling, so be done with it.  And another thing, I think someone might have mentioned it before in addressing concerns about Shopto.net, having never shopped there before, or maybe it was on another forum, but they do not take phone calls for orders:
http://www.shopto.ne...p?page=contatti so maybe that's why you had a problem.

I know they don't... I rang them because the sign up was bugged, and I can assure you, a young man did indeed actually *make* the order for me by going into my account as he set it up properly... now you are not only quibbling you are suggesting I am lying. I don't like that... I'm done, OK??

Thanks, mnomaha :)

I did not suggest you were lying, I simply pointed out that may be why you had a problem.  If that's the case, then fine.  Don't be so defensive.

I've called my game provider and they stated I shouldn't get my hopes high about getting the Collector's Edition, even the Standard one will come later than 9th of March. I'm really pissed about it, and I'm wondering where the hell can I get the CE... I'm from Romania btw. Anyhelp BioWare ?:]
