Game are in the hard position of having to tighten thier belts spending wise they would still have carried Mass effect 3 but EA required that they had to purchase a lot of copies up front which stores cannot afford to do these days
Yup im dissapointed I wont be getting the game on release (it seems) but its not Game im dissapointed with its EA for the rigid sales structure.
(reason i wont be getting it on the day is I refuse to support online shopping as its killing the high street!! and I get amazing customer service in the stores I visit)

It's just because online shopping is much more accessible and convenient. Plus, you can find mostly anything you want online but there's no way to stock everything in a single high street store. It's just a sign of the times. Those that are going out of business have just struggled with adapting. It's sad for them, sure, but that's just how it goes.

Speaking from a business point of view, I would not want to provide product in large quantities to a business that was in obvious financial trouble. EA could quite easily have lost out there and EA are in the business of making money, not loss.Mlaar wrote...

High street stores such as Game are killing themselves in my opinion. If they didn't charge the RRP for every single game that got released maybe they'd make more sales.Mlaar wrote...

Yes, it only fair. Those who had the CE pre-ordered months in advance were entitled to the N7 Wargear and were expecting on it. By my logic, since the CE is limited, for each CE there was a code.
After all this fiasco, we had to make our pre-orders before the bonus were announced for each retailer! The N7 warfare pack was handed by pure luck and note by our choice of preference of the retailer! How does that makes sense? There are more people here who would agree with me...
you're missing the point - you said you dont blame bioware.... then you expect Bioware to fix it?
That's like expecting your ISP to fix it because they provide your internet. Or Royal mail because they were going to deliver it.
Let me put it simply for you
Bioware - Make the game - they are the DEVELOPER
EA - turn the master into millions of physical copes, sell and ship it to retailers - they are the PUBLISHER
GAME - purchase the game at wholesale and sell to the public - they are the RETAILER
STOP directing your blame at Bioware - they have NOTHING to do with it. They have NO power to fix it. Even if they wanted to (and i'm sure they do) they cannot give out DLC - the PUBLISHER can
I'm sick of people giving Bioware **** over this - come in 2 weeks we will ALL have ME3 - SE or CE. Then and ONLY then can you give Bioware **** - and that can be for game bugs.

sage wisdom
that sadly will fall on deaf ears...
but soon will be unavoidably obvious when the only places to buy are origin, steam and other "cow herding" companys.
people shouted that this is what asda, walmart and the rest of the giants would do to corner shops in the UK.
and so it came to pass.
ps...

if anyone has ordered with amazon is it worth upgrading from 1st class to expedited?
As someone who has pre-ordered this from Amazon I must say I'm pretty annoyed about the lack of DLC. EA had better get their butts into gear...
As far as I'm concerned, this is all EA's fault. The least they could do is make sure all retailers with the CE will be offering the DLC. Its the least they could do after the GAME fiasco.
EDIT: Thanks for the heads up. I'm glad Amazon have the warfare pack now.

Regardless of directing blame at the developer when its the publishers fault the point still remains. All purchasers of the CE were entitled to the warfare pack long ago and its just not right that a large chunk of those people arnt getting it. They need to ammend this immediately (EA and amazon that is).

I get your point, Bioware has no control over the entitlements of the DLC. And I wasnt' refering to Bioware, the team who made the game, but the marketing team or whoever has to make the decisions about this.
Then let me rephrase, EA should entitle all the CE owners with the N7 Wargear.
And you should relax, I'm not hating Bioware here, I'm just very displeased with this situation.

You don't actually have to order to CE specifically to get the promo N7 warfare pack - you can get it whether you order standard or CE as long as the retailer is participating in the promo.
I checked with Tully Ackland (UK community manager at EA) this morning and he confirmed this.

*Offer also available on N7 Collector's Editions. Please note, this incentive replaces the M55 Argus DLC. All customers who pre-ordered Mass Effect 3 and were due to receive the M55 Argus will receive the N7 Warfare Gear instead.
Wasn't stated in EA's FAQ that the M55 was a wide channel offer for anyone who pre-orders?
