Simply bad management and lack of knowledge of the gaming market I suppose.

I also heard somewhere that they got fined for breaking consumer rights.

Arrogance, mostly. At one time GAME were the big boys on the market, and they simply didn't feel their business model needed to change when people like Amazon and Play.com started to become larger. They were still raking money in and had plenty of market analysts telling them what they wanted to hear, so they didn't feel they needed to actually compete. The people in charge simply couldn't get their heads around stuff like Steam and internet shopping, so it went downhill pretty quickly.

Couldn't happen to a nicer company, to be honest.

In all the Game hate people for get with  the troubles the countrys in thats peoples jobs on the line, as much i dislike a company i wouldnt want them to go under and for people to lose there lively hood.

Just had to pre-order my CE from play.com now... got it as Processing in Warehouse now.

Hope I will have it by Friday, Thursday at the earliest.

Totally messed up at Game. Its pity, Ive always got new games from them via pre-orders. Hope they get there act together...

I went to buy the new SSX today. Walked right past GameStation wearing my Mass Effect hoody - and bought SSX from Grainger Games round the corner.

All Shopto orders as of 12pm are packed and ready to be dispatched via the chosen delivery method on Wednesday. Which is excellent news indeed, now Friday can't come soon enough.

Pre-paid for my order asap, had the reciept through saying order is complete. Have an N7 edition and standard edition (with t-shirt). Both have the Warfare pack as well and the additional gun Shopto have for orders.

Just got reply from hmv at facebook that they are aiming to deliver the game at launch. So i guess, Wednesday or Thirsday they will be shipping.

I did it last time with ME2 no problem. I wouldn't worry about it, use them when u have them.

It only gives me a dispatch estimate on the mobile site on my phone, when I look on a desktop the only thing there is the delivery estimate which is the 9th.
