I don't think anyone is actually happy people are losing their jobs. What people are happy about is that this kind of farce likely won't get repeated, as GAME are the only company daft enough to try and conduct business like this.

In total I have paid: £205, just for 2 N7 one for £135 being sent from eBay who is using my address for Amazon with Express Delivery so I get it on release, the other from HMV for £70 being sent with Express Delivery. Which HMV keeps trying to assure me that I WILL get it on release day and to relax.

It seems my last post was deleted for some reason (I can't find it anywhere).Or the thread disappeared... So I'll repeat myself.

This problem is not limited to the UK or Game. I'm from Romania and I pre-ordered the N7 edition in december last year, from a local retailer. And a day after the news about Game and two after EA boasted about how many sales they got...my pre-order was canceled. They don't even have the standard edition.

And it's not the first time this happened. Last year I had preordered Crysis 2 CE, Dragon age 2 SE and Dead Space 2 CE. Not a single one of them got here and the standard versions had weeks of delays. At least this time, the retailer was kind enough to give me a discount as compensation. So instead of EA, my money went to Ubisoft. Good job EA.

I would assume that would be the case. They likely won't take payment until they dispatch it.

Look on the bright side, Zico - if you get both of them you'll almost certainly make your money back if you resell one on Ebay. Collector's Editions always hold their price well.

Yup the customer service advisor i was speaking to said that the payment has been approved by NatWest but Play.com have not taken it yet.

So what Vault N7 said is true then most likely we will not be getting early, release day dilivery then. oh well one can always hope right

I hope so, if I do sell it I will sell the HMV t-shirt because I already got a free one from Eurogamer Expo last year.

Dont take it as gospel I may have misread I'm also sure I saw it said on this thread somewhere.

Shopto usually dispatch on a Wednesday but they are  fast so I always get it on Thurs.

EDIT: found it, says in the last sentence of the first paragraph

You may be surprised. That 3-5 figure they give is a little pessimistic, largely meant to cover any freak delays the postal system may see. Typically I get Play deliveries within a day of them being dispatched.

So if they dispatch on wednesday, you'll likely have it for the 8th
