thinking about it, now i have a £5 at game, that adds the £30 gift card i was saving up plus £45 on another gift card, plus £15 on my reward card, all was supposed to save up for mass effect and the strategy guide. i'd better spend that before GAME go under. but there's nothing i want, any recommendations?

I think thats the daft thing - £5 in GAME basically goes nowhere. I used mine against the cost of a strategy guide that I was thinking of getting anyway, along with reward points. Its just a method of getting you to buy something else, which is annoying, but with that kind of discount the guide was cheaper than anywhere else.

Its a shame, really, as a £5 voucher on something like Amazon goes a lot further, what with all their Kindle books and MP3s.

They still haven't refunded my reward card points back into my account. They need to hurry up so that I can use them in conjuction with my £5 discount code and get on with never shopping with them again.

hmm... itunes vouchers sound good, but owning GAME is something else!!!  i'd hire monkeys, they'd probably do a good job, maybe a burrito making gibbon too. and free copies of mass effect for all!

I wouldn't worry too much that Amazon have made the same mistake as GAME, we'd have heard by now if Amazon was on the point of collapse

Realistically, judging from everything we've heard, Wednesday is the first day the companies can start shipping.

back last year I had a game on pr-order with amazon with guaranteed release date delivery. game wasn't shipped till the day before release:blink:

but to amazons credit, they shipped it special delivery next day guaranteed before 1pm delivery at no extra cost to me.

I used my £5 reward points bonus along with my existing points to buy the cheapest possible bluetooth headset so that I can stuff it under a cushion when the whiny little chavs  elite gamers are shouting all over my multiplayer. In the absence of a mute hammer it's a godsend. With the pound left over I got some of those little triggery jobs for L2/R2.

Just waiting for Amazon to post the game now, the game guide is on it's way.

Aslong as i get a copy is all that matters to me not fussed about getting it on release day or not, its not like ill be missing out on anything they all come with the same game.

With Amazon, i've had stuff arrive before the confirmation of despatch email - hoping that happens this time too!! Never had any issues with Amazon, they are usually very good at getting things to you on or before release day.
