Hows play.com delivery to the UK folks? Release day almost guaranteed or not?

Only time I ever pre-ordered a game with them, (DA2) I got it 2 days after release day. So I've gone with ShopTo.

I've pre-ordered through Play.com so I know I at least have one copy of the CE in my name. Hopefully when Amazon updates, they'll get the bonus, and then I'll re-order with them and cancel my Play.com

well I do hope they'll be honouring the £55 slip they made - I was lucky and got in on it! :D

I think they have to honor it by law :)

common misconception - if something is priced wrong, a retailer doesnt have to sell it at that price - they can withdraw it from sale.

There's nothing to stop a disgruntled employee or customer repricing it.

On the bright side, most retailers do tend to honour whatever the listed price is - hence word gets around that it is the law to do so.

I have had Amazon cancel a pre-order because of a misprice before. T'was Metal Gear Solid HD for £25. So those of you with Amazon orders may want to watch it carefully.

Looks like the begining of the end for GAME huh!

Does the digital deluxe edition on Origin (spits) have the from ashes DLC character and in game stuff? I dont care about art books and patches etc but in game items id like if possible.

Cheers

Yes it does. The DDE is simply a digital version of the Collector's Edition. The in-game content is identical.

Nope they don't as it's a preorder and the agreement states incorrect prices can and will be changed and you will be offered a choice of cancelling or paying the correct price.

Still, I currently have two orders because I don't want to risk cancelling one now only to find out play or Shopto have overordered in 24 hours! Or some pre-order deal is announced with one or the other. This is so silly.

Same here. Wish we could get info on the N7 warfare pack soon.

I'm in the same position as well. Feel quite bad for having two copies pre-ordered, but I want to make sure I get one with the DLC I want :-/

There's still the Video of ME3 Kinect on the GAME ME3 pages - might play backwards in case it says 'Run into the ground, Garrus'

No, they don't have to honour it by law.

But as it isn't a ridiculous price, Amazon are usually pretty good with honouring stuff like that, so there's a good chance.

And for those of you who snagged a cheaper price on Amazon, they do by law have to honour the price you purchased it at - it's part of the trade agreements laws.

I caught them out on the FFXIII-2 limited edition - it was 1p cheaper than the standard edition, and they honoured my purchase even after correcting their mistake.

well if they cancelled pre-orders of metal gear solid for £25 (which retailed at £30) then I can say goodbye to this! haha

I would advise you to buy from Origin - apparently the release date for the UK Origin Version is 6th March not the 9th so you get the game early aswell.

Wow... Game is really droping the ball. I've only heard complain about them so far since ME3 was listed on their website.

again - misonception

they did it out of good will, not because they legally had to.

They are well within their rights to withdraw the offending item from sale

Just got an e-mail from GAME.co.uk cancelling my pre-order and giving me a £5 gift code - not that I'll ever be using it since I have no plans to order from them again.

I saw some thing on watchdog about how retailers have to honor a price they give online and only if you buy it and not a pre-order. i forgot about the pre-order.

Just changed my pre-order to play.com. Very disappointed with game. Only thing I'm thinking of now is what will happen to the exclusive pre-order bonuses game had... I'm hoping we can still get a hold of them.

Actually, no... legally, they don't have to honour an incorrect price, but the thing with Amazon is that they often will, since they're big and powerful enough to swallow the few quid they'd lose, in order to keep the sale.

So, legally, not obliged to, but they often do, anyway, because they're smart.
