ok since I had 3 separate orders 1 for guide, 1 for pc and 1 for 360 CEs. my guide was sent yesterday my 360 was sent today but my PC is still processing????

and they upgraded my postage free of charge to special delivery next day before 1pm

I used expedited because I've had issues in the past with Amazon not even dispatching until release day and arriving late. They have never given me a free upgrade on the order either. Amazon seem to love you lol.

yeah arrived just this morning, came back to the house from work at around 10 and it was sitting on the windowsill. package was just too big for the letter box. luckly me postie knows to leave them for me if they don't fit:lol:

Same here.... I am a little worried having never used them for pre-orders before, but I'm remaining optimistic as they have taken the money and it's appeared on my account. Maybe I'll get a nice surprise through the post tomorrow and it might just arrive without notice. One can hope right?

I've pre-ordered with Play twice before and they've came through for me both times. I've just no idea whether they just haven't updated the website... like you, my money has already been taken.

Aye, Gamestop closed all their UK stores (including the 5 in Northern Ireland which got the CE via a loop hole), taking my pre-order with them. Then I ordered with GAME and we all know what happened there. So I've been more than worried about this Amazon order going the same route.

that's technically wrong, they still have one in Newry. do deliverys arround that way and it's still trading away. it's now listed under the Gamestop ie site mind

Oh they must have just converted that one because its fairly close to the border. Mind you so is the one in Derry... My mate was manager in there and they just turned up to work one day to be told they were closed down with immediate effect. I got about 90% of my pre-orders in there, they were far better than GAME. They were getting away with selling stuff that was a GAME exclusive in the UK by claiming to be in IE rather than NI. They were glorious times...

the Game shop in Newry use to be good when it opened had a big 6ft plus bauld fella who really knew his stuff.
he was there for years. but as soon as he left (think cause they didn't promote him from ass-manager) it went down hill fast. never seems to keep staff or managers. stopped getting my PC games. and switched to amazon.

heck mind that game APB that went bust a while back they were still selling it in GAME weeks after it servers were shutdown

This is annoying!  This is why I ordered two copies from two different retailers because I knew something like this would happen.

 

I cancelled my Amazon order now Play have confirmed they have shipped.  I got no idea what the score with Amazon is.  EA listed they they will be getting stock so I can only assume its a miscommunication their end.

Yeah i spoke to them on that amazon IM and they said ill being getting it friday and it will be getting dispatched tomorrow and i used the expedited delivery so one buisness day.

I can vaguely remember GAME here pulling similar stunts.

Alot of people went to GAME because there was a gorgeous blonde working in it, their troubles really started when she left. GAME really did nothing to stop themselves getting into this mess, they weren't even trying to be competitive. Their staff never seemed to have a clue about games either.

In Gamestop you could go in and have a chat about games with the staff while you browsed and they were all gamers too. They must have done a ton of business with people going in for a chat and leaving with a pre-order or a game. Though you could always see the pitch coming, it was amazing how often it worked on people as you stood watching .

Exact same as me, so thats set my mind at ease a bit more. I went for expedited thinking it might give me a chance of getting it early, it seems I was wrong.

Thanks for the clarification on couriers - I have no tracking number on my order history so assume it's coming via Royal Mail. More's the pity. However, if it really was dispatched yesterday I am hopeful that I'll have it by Friday.

I actually had an interview for GAME a couple of years back. In the end I declined the position as I didn't think I'd have enjoyed the role, it seemed far too sales-focussed. I understood that they are in business to make money, but didn't agree with their methods - forcing items and accessories on customers and chastising staff members who didn't flog x number of the title they wanted to shift. I actually explained I'd rather use a sales through service approach - that is, securing future business by offering exemplary service, and selling customers the best thing for them (not the company). That left my interviewer puzzled, now I begin to see why...

Tried ringing Play and all the woman on the end of the phone could tell me was that it was in processing... useful. She said stock had been allocated but it hadn't been sent yet.

Scan let me down on my SSD order today too... said on their website order before 5:30pm receive next day, went through checkout, selected the 8th for delivery, paid, etc. thinking eveything's just fine. Got an email from them saying estimated delivery: 9th March.

What a great day.

only thing I didn't like about gamestop is they have a very limited PC stock. specially Indi-releases. oh and the are you sure this will run on your system before every sale. no i'm buying it sit me Tea on:D

Gah!! I keep replaying the demo to get a feel for the character creator as the ME3 importer is a little wonky but up until now, the faces have all had something.... not quite right about them.
However, I've just created a surprisingly un-wonky face that I really like and have just realised I'm going to have to try to recreate it when I get the game.
Sad times.

update....
Had an email from Amazon uk, saying my collectors edition game guide will be delivered by City Link tomorrow.
My xbox collectors Ed. game has been posted from Play.com standard delivery no tracking.
My PC collectors Ed. game is still processing in warehouse at Play.com

I guess play.com has'nt got around to sending the PC versions yet.
