Has anyone received a dispatch E-mail from Gamestop.ie yet?

I haven't and I'm really worried that might not get my N7 Edition?

For years GAME here had the same staff but they all disapeared in a fairly short space of time and since then the staff turnover has been ridiculous. No one seems to last more than a couple of months. I've been told that staff can't take the pressure, which is an amazing thing to hear in a retail outlet. They are under constant pressure to throw in extra stuff when making sales and people are refusing to buy it in this financial climate. Then management comes down on the staff that aren't able to make the extra sales. It sounds like a terrible environment to work in.

It was when I left. I worked in the same shop for year and a half when I was a student, had a good manager and it was a right laugh. Then I moved to a new shop, and I quit in the space of 3 months. Anything that went wrong, it was the staff's fault. The increasingly crazy targets were missed, it was the staff's fault. The manager even expected me to bunk off lectures to do extra hours, they just haven't got a grip on reality. No wonder the staff seem so demotivated.

That's all academic now, though. The company deserves everything they get.

I said it on another thread but the returns policy they implemented a few years ago where you could return any game within a certain time period for a full refund with no questions asked was a massive clue that whoever is running the show is utterly clueless. I'm not sure how long it went on for but it turned them into a free rental store, they even went out of their way to advertise it. It was ridiculous.

The only thing I could think of was its a good way to get pre-owned games for them to sell, but I'm not sure if it even worked out that way for them.

Yeah i had a friend who treated it like a rental service, did they ever do that for PC titles i could swear i knew someone who use to install them use a nocd patch then return the game, i maybe wrong.

aye they even took back PC games for a good few years even when opened up :).

I still find their policy new policy on unopened boxes, handy now if I ordered a game that for what ever reason was arriving late I use to nip down and but one from them then take the pre-order back to them for a full refund :bandit:just need to make sure they don't stick a wee sticker on it :D

I had another chat with amazon on chat and she said it should have been dispatched today and she'll make sure it's sent first thing tomorrow.

My Amazon CE still reads Not Yet Dispatched. Not -too- concerned, I have Amazon Prime, so it's automatically Expediated shipping (next day). But leaving it until the Thursday means there's no room for error...

My Blockbusters N7 order is still processing according to their site. Though I really hope it doesn't arrive via courier because nobody's around to sign for it turing the day, and collecting it from some centre somewhere would be a pain. I'll just hope that the courier arrives after 3pm...

Still processing for me from Blockbuster too. I sorta wish I phoned them before 5:30, but it's ok there's still time to get it here by Friday if they send it tomorrow.
