EA has no way to say "oh hey will you able to meet this quota for the 6th in few months from now ONCE WE SHIP YOU ORDERS they have no liabity to the retailer.

Actually according to the guy I talked to in my local Game shop, it is EA's fault that Game won't be stocking Mass Effect 3. Apparently EA was the only company that Game talked to about resorting out a contract that refused, the rest agreed and helped Game out but as EA refused it wouldn't be fair to expect all these other companies to help Game out while EA didn't so Game is not stocking any EA game after SSX for March (at least that's the current timetable).

 Also just in case no one has mentioned it, when you go into the shop to sort out the cancelled pre-order they do give you your cash back and as an apology give you £5 store credit on your game card. (Though that might change but I doubt it.)

And in case I'm sounding too pro-Game atm, I do still think that Game is a fast sinking ship, though not as fast as I originally thought this morning when I found out about all this.

tell the guy  who you talked to ask why they wouldnt  give the copies to them i bet they  wouldnt sell the games due the game  store retailer has some  problems paying for the   price they asked, i know from  first hand experiences that if any time a major publisher/distributor ever says no to me it mean 2 things


a] you asking for price lower the they want to sell to you due being the only major area chain..
or

b} their credit cards was revoked and had no more credit to give them to pay for the games that they already had.. hence why we are seeing more ce's showing up.

so my answer to that will be b there trying to get money to pay off there credit debtors so no not EA problem, like how you guy blames ea for there problme on financial problems

This is the first time i have ever bought something from shopto. If all things go smoothly then they've found themselves a new customer

Blame the EA UK division for this mess (This whole situation could have been avoided if they chose Amazon UK or Play for the N7 Warfare pack and CE orders).

Shame that Game will close because of this screw up.

Got my email then! Not using the voucher out of, well, worry I will use it and THAT gets cancelled! So just hope I get my CE off Play on time now. Not had a problem before so here's hoping!

Had nothing but superb service from them.  The're my 'go-to' company unless, like on this occasion someone else has a ce, or important dlc.  They are class, vastly superior to play.com

common sense actually.... why would they give exclusive content (the CE edition) AND DLC to a company who have been in (very public) financial woe?

Amazon are a MUCH bigger company and therefore the safer bet surely?

well I suppose potentially losing a weapon / armour pack would suck no where near as much as losing the CE. I guess that kinda puts things in perspective. Glad I reordered thru play.com - screw getting it cheaper at this point just wanted to secure a copy, Just be nice to have confirmation soon.

Damn it! I was always worried about my pre-order from the moment I set it up. Never used game and I was unhappy that Amazon.co.uk didn't have the CE.
I quickly ordered it at shopto. Thank god they accept paypal coz my creditcard is @home. Now I hope everything goes smooth. I took the expensive shipping in the hope I get it on the 9th.

I just got my email form Game, and then did that mad dash panic that I think alot of games who where in the same postion as me did, and went to play.com.

Though I have no idea if that means i'll get it on the 9th, or the monday after tho. ¬¬

The end of game is coming quicker than expected then. Has amazon not listed the N7 yet or have they already sold out? I've got a shop to preorder in but I'd rather use amazon.

Normally I buy digital through Steam, but the 8 orders (9 now) I have made through them in the last 12 months, they have been excellent.
