I've done the exact same thing, I've got the payment confirmation but no preorder confirmation. Probably nothing to worry about though, that payment confirmation email is as good as a preorder one.Pilotgregster wrote...
Ordered mine with ShopTo early this morning and pre-paid. It's a terrible situation, but in a way, I'm glad it's been put in the hands of a retailer I can trust. I fully expected GAME to screw up.
One concern however. Did anyone else not get a 'Preorder confirmation' email from ShopTo?
It's probably nothing to worry about. It is listed under my preorders and I've received payment confirmation. They just usually confirm via email when you place a preorder.
I got receipt for payment from Paypal and account charge from shopto. But it says this in the shopto mail:Maybe that's the reason we don't get a order confirmationThis email does not constitute confirmation of contract. Acceptance of
your order and the formation of a contract between you and Us will take
place when We send you an email confirming that the products you have
ordered are being despatched to you
I got both a pre-order confirmation and a payment confirmation from Shopto.net. Sometimes the email takes a little while to come through though, so you may get it a little later on.
Oh dear. I ordered mine over 5 hours ago.

I've done some research into this, I realise their track record certainly isn't excellent, but this isn't their fault, it's EAs. EA did not do what you claim, EA were being greedy, that's what caused this fiasco, not GAME. I'm certainly not saying GAME are great, but I do know that for once, this isn't their fault, it's the fault of money grabbing greedy people over at EA who were messing GAME about.
sources?

Apparently the new stockists are Amazon, Zavvi and ShopTo, although Zavvi were sold out of the Xbox CE when I checked.
Good luck to others.

Game owns Gamestation. And no word on the N7 gear. I ordered the CE at Gamestop UK for the DogTags

Game and Gamestation are owned by the same parent company
No news yet on the pre-order bonuses either

EA wanted to screw over GAME with unfavorable credit terms? In that case GAME did the only right thing.

It's not EA or Bioware's fault, but it is one ****ty move for GAME for one major reason being the timing. Why felt needed to leave it to last week before release and bit before springing on everyone when they said only few weeks ago that ME3 preorders were safe and that the credit insurance issue was not going to effect preorders or stock for ME3.
Atleast EA did the smart thing in not giving them exclusivity to sell the CE in the UK. Unlike CDPR who have done that rather stupid thing of making GAME exclusive retailer for their Dark Edition here.
Is this meant to be ironic? EA did give them the exlusive for the CE in the UK. It's precisely because they do that kind of lousy, grubby, shaft-the-customer deal that we're in this mess.
EA seems to have lacked the foresight to predict that GAME would not be able to fulfill their orders, possibly due to the people at GAME probably only finding out the information in the last couple of days (or today).
It's really bad communication on GAME's part mostly and EA weren't wise enough to do anything about it .

gamestation are part of game group.
and on the N7 warfare gear it has not been announced but its going to be one of the four companies who gets them.
i think it will be Zavvi or amazon

So, if you pre-ordered from GAME does it just not take any money away from your account? I'm in one hell of a bind right now...
If bought from store some people paid upfront full amount, some just deposit, if bought online payment should not be taken until dispatch. GAME claim they will be offering money refunds if customers want money back instead of crappy store credit reward points alone.
I don't have an issue with ME3 personally as my friend is the one who preordered our copies but she did pay full amount when placing preorders so I told her demand her money back.
My issue is more with CDPR doing a stupid thing of giving exclusive rights to GAME for selling the Dark Edition (CE) variation of their product for the UK. I hope they allow alternatives now given this news else I will be screwed over completley if they do not and GAME refuse to supply the DE.

WHAT THE ****?????
BIOWARE
I have ordered a collectors edition - and put down a deposit on it - where can I get a PS3 collectors edition with the preorder incentives offered by GAME
Others have already posted the link but I'll just jump in to confirm: http://www.ea.com/uk...ffect-3-update
At this time we're unable to make further comment - The retailers listed on the site will all ship the N7 Collectors Edition. Check back on the site later on for more information on which retailers will be offering the N7 Warfare pack.
I understand my response isn't the most ideal right now, when we're able to say more we will.
As another note, you can always tell if someone from Bioware has posted on a topic because on the forum menu under the topic title you'll see the word 'Bioware' if oyu click on that it'll show you the OP and any posts from any Bioware employee

By the sounds of it GAME wanted credit, which I guess means a 'have the games now, pay later' kind of deal. EA opted to not take a chance on a company that is obviously having a lot of financial problems. The fact that Nintendo and Ubisoft have also withheld stock from GAME kind of shows that the issue is with the retailer and not the publisher.

Amazon is still showing availability for 360 and I have ordered from them, I hope this is the case and I (and others) don't receive and apologetic e-mail related to them not updating availability.
Maybe next time the CE of a game is released it won't be vendor specific to avoid this last minute confusion and annoyance.

HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA this is GREAT news! All the snobby idiots on this site with the whole ''you should have pre-ordered it earlier'' ''Bioware did say it is limited'' are getting DESTROYED!! And you know what else is sweet? I NOW HAVE THE COLLECTORS EDITION PRE-ORDERED AND TAKEN ONE OF YOUR SNOBBY COLLECTOR EDITIONS. HAHAHAHAHA, seriously though GAME seem to be in BIG trouble, also this could hopefully affect sales of ME3 so money grabbing day 1 DLC shafter's Bioware get screwed by this too. Oh what a great day this has turned out to be. BIOWARE IN STEEP DECLINE.
You realise the stupidy of what you just said? You said hope affects sales and admit you have actually just gone and bought a more expensive product from them. EA thanks you for your patronage.

This is just for the UK right?
As GAME is owned by EB Games which is where I got my copy of the CE, but I'm in Canada. And EB Games is still advertising for a midnight lauch for ME3.. /paranoid
EB and The GAME Group have been separate entities for a number of years now. You can read all about their storied past here, if you're so inclined. Your pre-order with EB Games Canada won't be affected at all by this nonsense with GAME.
Good luck to everyone affected by this. I hope you're all able to secure copies elsewhere.
