I feel a lot better now that people have been successfully pre-ordering with BlockBuster. I thought they completely vanished, all the retail shops closed down quite a few years ago in my area.

Normally I would agree , but they released a statement saying everything would be fine till the end of the year and they would be stocking the big games.Then they still took pre-order/payment money , why not just tell customers before hand and waiting till less than a week before.(Game is Just Wrong!)

You could still switch it to First class, it'll only cost you about £2 extra I believe.

Now I don't support that , I'm pretty sure Game hid this this descision from them up until now.It's not going to hurt Bioware/EA , but this has cost them alot of sales.If I were them I'd sue Game.

Wasn't saying that they weren't wrong, because I do feel they cheated their most loyal customers, but not wholly to blame for the not-stocking.
Their timing is horrid though...1 week till release?

Yeah, I don't think there really is anyone to blame in this situation. Predominantly "brick and mortar" store chains seem to be dying it seems. The industry even encourages this, with things like the Cerberus Network.

I'm honestly not surprised it's happening. I am surprised it's happening this soon.

EA share a large part of the blame for this because EA entered into an EXCLUSIVITY deal with Game.  If EA hadn't made the CE exclusive to GAME and allowed their customers to buy the game where they WANTED too then this mess wouldn't be happening for the vast majority.

So yes EA do have a large hand in this mess, it has nothing to do with "hating on EA" it has everything to do with EA's bad practices biting themselves and their customers on the arse.

Ah, so it is.  I tried finding it earlier, but couldn't (only found it when I typed in 'N7' as well... and even then it wasn't the first hit on the page).  Still I've got my order at Zavvi already (fingers crossed it goes alright, this situation with GAME has knocked my confidence in getting the CE).

I think some people are annoyed with EA because they gave the exclusive rights to sell the CE to GAME. If that hadn't of happened, nowhere near as many people would be annoyed right now.

I wish they'd let all retailers sell the CE because i always shop at a local independant store ,who has been trading for aout 17 years ,  i prefer not to give these "big Guns" any of my money

What would be the point in that I doubt they could pay you, will have no money left by that stage. 

On more realistic side, I feel kind of bad for GAME staff over next few months as GAME is a major employer across the UK. It's not EA's fault that this happened although warnings about such were on the wall in last few months and exclusivity lock to retailers for products is never a good thing as such things happen. Really it's the retailer and customers fault.

Retailer for not getting there business in a place to survive the online marketplace and competition leading to loss of their credit insurance.

Customers fault for not buying more products from GAME in first place instead of online cheaper places (those silly cheap customers). Obviously this bit is jesting.
