FWIW, I've canceled my preorder over at Zavvi (PC version) and stuck with Amazon. I'm sure quite a few people will be canceling their double (or triple or even quadruple) preorders once the dust settles and cooler minds prevail, so even if some places are out of stock right now, there might be some with limited copies available later on in the week.

Nothing wrong with Zavvi m8 I've orderd from them before and they are on my "good game  shop list",Amazon are ok but can  slow sometimes,for pure speed ShopTo.Net is number 1.


Btw I  ordered PC CE version from Zavvi  lunchtime .

Oh I know that there's nothing wrong with them  It's just that I've been shopping with Amazon for ages and figured I'd 1) give someone else a shot at a copy @ Zavvi and 2) reward Amazon with my continued loyalty. Here's hoping I hadn't inadvertantly shot myself in the foot

I normally use Play,ShopTo.Net,Gameseek,Zavvi and Amazon,I like to  check best prices so  that's normally the  deciding factor  on  which one I use.

I was really annoyed by the news, I only pre-ordered the SE on Monday and in the space of a couple of days I got screwed. I'm not worried about the pre-order money as it's clear they will refund it. Problem is I traded in 5 games for £34 so that it pay for the majority of the price of the game. Got this put on a gift card as I thought "might as well get it from Gamestation as I'll get the dlc weapons/armour etc". Should have just taken the cash coz now I have to go it tommorow and try and get a cash refund for the games too.

Ditto on that!  It's not the kind of thing I would normally bother with, but I had sent them an email last Sunday asking about this very issue, and I was told that my order was secure... so, yeah, was pretty pee'd off when I read the cancellation email.

I did manage to get an order in with blockbuster, so I'm just going to keep my finger's crossed from now until i get a dispatch confirmation email!

Just checked my emails and got the message. so gutted had this on order since june. This was going to be my 30th bday present but thats shot it. so is it still true that now we'll have to pay extra to get the squad member and mission that was with the CE edition

Yeah from ashes is in the CE. So are most of the N7 weapons. It's only the N7 rifle and an armour which is a preorder bonus.

Wouldn't put it past EA to try to wringle every last penny out of this debacle by squeezing that one last exclusive in before the hammer falls, but as you've pointed out - all the stock's pretty much spoken for, so they'll either give it to all of them, or...well, make it a DLC or something.

I went into Gamestation today.  I'm friends with one of the staff and he just looked at me.  We both knew.

Was raging.  Why couldn't they hold it out one extra week.  SSX is out on Friday. that is the last game they will handle

I was in GAME and GAMESTATION stores today and there was no notices about ME3 but there was not one single ME3 promotional material anywhere in store so they must of known in store that something was up. That is really bad. Hope everyone manages to get another copy ordered.

Got my email from them this afternoon, it was a spare edition my friend let me have after game cancelled mine back in January.

This is an absolute disgrace and an insult to gamers across the UK. Any hope of the dwindling chance that I would buy this game has now been utterly destroyed by this farce.

My initial heightened interest in Mass Effect 3 was greatly disturbed after the abysmal demo. All EA gives a **** about is squeezing every last penny out of you and running companies out of business as they are in this case. GAME and Gamestation must hold some of the blame, but EA also have a part to play, and it's a part they've played with a lack of caring for the best interests of the consumer.

British gamers, I implore you, boycott these bastards. Day One DLC and heightened prices are the least of your worries if they start running our specialist gaming stores out of business.
