May be a knee jerk reaction but pretty much this! The only other game I want this year is the 360 adaptation of The Witcher 2, and I shall be buying that from Play I think.

By the way don't you get almost all the gear with the Digital Deluxe Edition just not the actual physical items so it's not all bad for you guys who play ME on PC just complete doomsday for those on xbox and ps3.

Great. Just got home from work to read about this on the BBC. Game kindly didn't send me an email about this, and now everywhere's sold out of the 360 CE. Guess I'll have to just go for the standard edition.

I hope more copies of the CE become available before launch.

Pre-ordered PC CE at about 5 o'clock, got the confirmation e-mail stright away.

And no I won't be ordering from GAME.co.uk anymore either, I'll use the £5 voucher along with the £18 worth of points I've been saving up, then thats it.

Whats annoying is if you look on ebay a bunch of CE have come up with some charging £200 plus looks like people have ordered multiple copies to sell SHAME ON YOU ALL

Maybe everyone who ordered a copy of the collector's edition in the UK gets the N7 Warfare Gear? The CE was a GAME exclusive, after all.

Check again tomorrow evening/afternoon. When the plans for the N7 Warfare pack are finally announced a lot of people with multiple pre-orders will be cancelling I think.

I traded in some of my older games yesterday for store credit in order to spend on my ME3 CE, I've now get £46 on a gift card and nothing to spend it on

I really hope that's the way they decide to work it, but I'm doubtful.

Aslong as they continue getting exclusives then people have no choice but to shop with them. They still have the The Witcher 2: Dark Edition as a UK exclusive, so anyone who wants that version has to spin the GAME roulette wheel and take their chances.

Unfortunately this whole episode might not have the desired effect of no more exclusives for GAME, it could be the opposite infact. Seeing the amount of business they have lost over this they might go even more nuts for exclusives. It might seem a bit far fetched now but videogame related retail is a bizarre place where even the most outlandish things are possible.

Yes and no.

Do we really want GAME to charge us maximum price for games? In this time of unplenty most people go to where the bargains are, it's an unfortunate fact. GAME should have moved with the times, and instead of paying over the odds for exclusive deals (look how well that turned out), they should have focused on how they could bring in more customers. It's all well and good to be offering a large catalogue of games, but when it's taking up shelf space, and the store just down the road (which is also GAME) has the same stock. don't you see the overlap and redundancy?

EB Games in Australia seems to be doing reasonably well still, although GAME Australia has had some stores close down over the years. And games in Australia are very expensive, wherever you buy them from. But the selection of games from these two retailers are almost always the best. I remember I found Torment and Homeworld on EB Games' shelves(albeit in obscure corners), but those are hardly the money makers.

Hey, Just wondering but, I went to gamestop.ireland to see if any copies of the CE were available. I was able to select the reserve button and the CE edition is in my cart, but i havnot purchased it yet because I wanted to wait and figure out more about this mess. Gamestop says that the 360 version is sold out now but the game is still in my cart, so what does that mean? Will I still have the CE version because I pressed reserve or have I lost my chance now?.

That's my CE preordered, thank the Maker for the F5 button and a lot of patience! Adding my two pennies to the discussion about GAME, if they and gamestation will really go out of business, it's not necessarily the worst case scenario in terms of lack of the high street retailers. There are still some good independent stores around with friendly and competent staff and competitive prices. If this scenario would allow the independent retailers to rise, I wouldn't miss GAME and its subsidiaries very much...
