Lots of people had pre-orders.
Lots of people missed out because they didn't pre-order in time.
Suddenly all pre-orders are cancelled and up for grabs again elsewhere.
Lots of people who were missing out have now been able to quickly pre-order copies.
Lots of people who had the game pre-ordered since it was announced are now missing out.

Game had all the information on who had pre-ordered with them. EA, Bioware, and all of the new stockists don't. I seriously doubt Game would be legally allowed to share that information about their customers with other companies even if they felt like it, so some organised transfer of pre-orders between retailers is pretty much in the realm of fantasy. Besides which, the retailers don't care who is buying them, so long as they're selling them all.

I appreciate they have been sold....5 days before the game is released...mass panic...hysteria...some of us are now screwed...through no fault of our own...

EA should honour those pre-orders..if it means making more...then so be it...

You SHOULD be able to choose the language for the game either upon installation or when you activate the key on Origin.

What dont you understand.

The copies were allocated to game.

Game are no longer able to sell them.

All of those copies were allocated to other retaillers.

All of those copies have now been sold.

Bioware dont have 10000 CE's sitting in a warehouse somewhere in England that they are refusing to sell.

They have all been resold allready.

Thats why more warning would have been nice I had it preordered since june I wanted the boxed ce but now it looks like i'm forced to buy though Orign. Way to go EA

I pre-ordered mine last April and found out it was cancelled too late - now everywhere has sold out. I can't describe how disappointed I am right now...

The copies were redistrubited to Amazon, Play, etc. so that people could pre-order again, thats my understanding on it anyway. I don't think its a particularly fair system on people who had pre-ordered and may now miss out and the timing of it is utter sh*te, but I don't know the details of why they would wait until now. It doesn't really do EA any favours and has certainly done GAME no favours. The only winners here are the places now selling the CE and people who couldn't pre-order now being able to snag one at the expense of someone else.

I think it would have been fairer if they had come out with this weeks ago and anyone with a pre-order could get a code to order from their vendor of choice (Amazon etc.). That way they could possibly have just sent the appropriate number of pre-orders over to these other vendors, causing less problems for people who have already pre-ordered. They could have even moved all the orders to the EA store forcing us all to register there.

They arnt gonna do wht films do. It will most likely be subs. Even if it is i think you might....be able to turn it back to english. Ive only ever seen one translated mass effect 2 which was italian which had english subs lol

Hey, I've seen some people here talking about the French version of the game.. DON'T GET IT ! I AM french, and I can tell you the voices will be in French and you won't be able to choose English unless you're getting the PC version. And maybe the PS3 one.
If you get it on Xbox you're gonna get screwed... I know I did with ME2. Even as a native speaker, the voice overs are horrible...

There actually is no physical manual, so you'll be fine. As for language, here's a quote from Evil Chris himself:

Great becuase I was in work today I missed out, and I ordered my Pre-order in June! This ****ing sucks, I hope Game goes bankrupt.

Yes PC will have English. I know ME2 had the option. Worst case scenario you can d/l the English voice pack from somewhere.
But the Xbox version will have only French voices.. because of some retarded law and the fact that it wouldn't fit on a standard DVD.

It is so sad watching people even consideing the possibility of buying a foreign CE playing with a dictionay at hand...I can just picture Shepard speaking in German: "Nein, wir mussen totten alle die Reapers!"

Most of us are like a bunch of headless chickens today looking around for a copy. Ebay today offeing all those missing copies for the modical average sum of £150.

Well, I have 2 copies of the Xbox 360 game ordered, one through Amazon and one through Play.com - if someone wants to buy the Play one off of me (£69.99), I'd change the delivery address to theirs. If paid through PayPal, there'd be a recourse to make sure I'm not fleecing them, and it means I won't end up with 2 copies of the game. It also means that someone else gets this game. No idea if I can resell through this forum and, if not, I apologise, Mr(s) Moderator.
