The copies were redistrubited to Amazon, Play, etc. so that people could pre-order again. Thats my understanding on it anyway. I don't think its a particularly fair system on people who had pre-ordered and may now miss out and the timing of it is utter sh*te, but I don't know the details of why they would wait until now, it doesn't really do EA any favours and has certainly done GAME no favours. The only winners here are the places now selling the CE and people who couldn't pre-order now being able to snag one at the expense of someone else.

I think it would have been fairer if they had come out with this weeks ago and anyone with a pre-order could get a code to order from their vendor of choice (Amazon etc.). That would they could possibly have just the appropriate number of pre-orders over to these other vendors, causing less problems for people who have already pre-ordered.

This is a very concise post - the highlighted bit sums up my feelings pretty well.

Lost my CE too. Tried to order a 360 CE through Amazon UK, even had it in my basket but couldn't finish the checkout. Some minutes later it was sold out. This is so bad, now I won't get it anywhere

Anyone here remember the Game/EA DA: Origins CE debacle??? Not like this is a new occurrence people. Game have had their business structure for years...EA have always been fine with them before now (yes I know as a company right now Game are seriously struggling)....but lets remember...it was EA who pulled the plug on Game...not the other way around...

And it was EA who did it a few days before release...yet...nooo...not their fault is it at all?

Just like it's not my fault I've had a pre-order since it went live on the site and was working all day and only just got the email...leaving me fubar'd...

Again....if EA/Bioware...are the companies they make themselves out to be to the public and media...honour the pre-orders....you're seriously going to stand there and try and tell me that EA did not know they were going to do this weeks ago? You think corporate companies make decisions like this over an afternoon coffee? Wake up people, or get a job or start living in the real business world.

As for the poster who said EA don't have pre-order information...hmmm...you actually work in business?  I guess Game just guess how many they have and tell EA...or meybe better yet...Game tell them we need/want 'x' ampount of copies....and EA lose the email...and send what they think is the right amount?  Jeesh....

Next you people be telling me it wasn't EA's fault they broke up Westwood and killed the C&C franchise...

You SHOULD be able to choose the language for the game either upon installation or when you activate the key on Origin

I'd like to assure you that everyone who can help in this situation is indeed working on it. It's become clear to us now that we wont have a list of confirmed retailers who will carry the N7 Warfare pack until tomorrow. As soon as we do we'll communicate it. 

We're doing everything in our power to address this as soon as possible. 

The update page says this:

"We will confirm the details of the Standard Edition N7 Warfare Gear pre-order tomorrow (Thursday 1st), apologies for the delay."

The Standard Edition N7 Warfare Gear? What about the Collectors Edition preorders? Is it really two seperate issues?

Not to sound rude..but you were blaming Bioware in the first place. Bioware is not responsible for distributing the games.

Well clearly I've found out about this too late. PC Collector's Editions are sold out everywhere and I feel screwed over. Part of me thinks this is just some kind of EA ploy to get people to download from Origin.

For those saying EA should honor the preorders, its not EA's responsibility to honor GAME's commitments. GAME UK likely knew months ahead of time that they wouldn't be able to afford to pay for the copies they had ordered from EA and simply hoped EA would let them off on credit. Considering GAME UK's declining financial situation I can't blame EA one bit for not wanting to take the risk that they'd never see their money.

In otherwords, this is 100% GAME's fault, they're the ones that screwed you over, not EA.

Yep. They were trying to force people to use Origin by making the CE available at SIX different retailers.

Thanks. Although I'm still crazy paranoid that some more "news" is going to pop up in the next couple of days that says "Oh it turns out the 360 version is actually only in German after all."

I'm also still curious as to whether the comic book is going to be in German or English or whatever.

EA will have a number but the post was about transfering pre-orders which would require customer details to be shared. That's something they're not allowed to do.

As rubbish as it is at this point there was no other way to do it that would have a chance of getting the games sent out in time for release.
