EA will have a number but the post was about transfering pre-orders which would require customer details to be shared. That's something they're not allowed to do.

As rubbish as it is at this point there was no other way to do it that would have a chance of getting the games sent out in time for release.

No need at all...if your pre-order cancelled...you have an email from Game..thus proving you had it ordered...then you can deal directly with EA and give them your details personally.

Yep. They were trying to force people to use Origin by making the CE available at SIX different retailers.

Disappointed though I am that I won't be getting a copy of the N7 edition, I am more concerned about the future of the guys and girls at my local game store who may soon be without a job. Hope I am wrong as they're a great bunch.

im not plugging anything here but it seems likely the only place left to even get a whiff of the CE is Ebay and there going insane @_@ I saw one for £170...C'mon thats just silly and some of the Buy it nows are set at £200.

Wouldn't work.

That would take a lot more work and set up than you seem to think.  It'd certainly be hard (if possible at all) to do in less than a week.

Regardless, it wouldn't work because the game cancelation e-mail doesn't mention if the order is CE/SE or Xbox/PS3/PC it just says "your mass effect 3 pre order".

I suspect few people still have the order confirmation e-mails from 6+ months ago either.....

Yep , a game you may passed up that's super cheap.

The voucher is only £5. Only redeemable online. There are no games for 360 or PS3 in stock for that price. At all.
PC has some of the random crappy games you never heard of, or games that run on Windows 95.

EA never had a problem before because it didn't seem that GAME were in financial trouble before. If EA had reason to believe that GAME's liquidity was in trouble now, they had no other choice but err on side of caution and to pull the plug.

It's not a question of whether ME3 would sell or not - of course it would have (and today's rush proves it); it's that EA were afraid that should GAME go under and into receivership, the income from ME3 sales would go to secured creditors first (i.e. banks) and only once these were paid off would EA see any money from ME3 sales, which could end up being peanuts. It's a risk they were unwilling to take. It's a risk any sane business would be unwilling to take.

Same here for all the store employees , because I'm sure their just as mad as customers because now they don't have a job.

I used it in conjunction with my £10 f reward points and grabbed 1600 microsoft points, All my deals are settled with GAME and the sooner this company goes bankrupt the better, Get Gamestop in retail outlets in the UK and be done with it. GAME have been in deep water since they made the website changes back in august and it isnt getting any better. I previously worked for the company and what a joke they are.

Iv had nothing but problems with them since around october but i backed them because they had done well by me previously, However enough is enough.

Huh. I just found out that my CE pre-order for PC was canceled by game.co.uk and now it's sold out everywhere.
