so amazon is handing away M-55 argus rifles and im just wondering if its just the rifle or do we get the armour like we would if we had still had the pre-orders from game?

well no ones saying you must get the CE stokie the standard editions fine and the day 1 DLC is only a tenner.

check the amazon pre-order page they normally detail it but im of the mind it is just the rifle and all the other stuff will be released as milking dlc later on.

I'm so annoyed and sad. Having anticipated this game for so long only for this to happen now. I pre-ordered the N7 edition on the Xbox 360 and also did the special £5 pre order. And now I read about this news late and can't even find a single collectors edition anywhere, all sold out.

This is so unfair to your customers and I believe this could have been handled a lot better by you guys. A simple solution for the Game and GameStation customers would have been to send copies of their pre-orders so it is still guaranteed for them. This could have been done through Origin.

Now I still have to go and probably ebay it from somewhere for more than double the amount. I'm sure none of your dev team might read this, and people might say I'm moaning, I don't care. It's very disappointing.

Anyways what's done is done. But my faith in this industry is starting to fade. As something as simple as this cannot be handled properly.

Play.com actually sent my Skyrim pre-order a day early. Best Day Ever.

Anyway... In the end, EA is going to look like the saviour of this debacle because all the in-game content is available on Origin's Digital Deluxe Edition. I suspect that's the content a lot of potential PC CE buyers are after anyway, And some of those who'd prefer to get a boxed copy but no longer have much of a choice will be swayed towards the Origin offering.

I still feel like a bit of a shmuck by not jumping on this before it was too late. It'll be interesting to see what EA says about the N7 Warfare packs tomorrow considering they'll be totally sold out by then.

Just a quick question for some: those who pre-ordered from Gamestation or Gameplay (which are subsidiaries of Game in case you were unaware): have you received a cancellation email?

I've pre-ordered with Gameplay. However, I have not received a cancellation email and the status of my order on the website is still 'Ordered'. I don't expect to be getting the game from them now, but this is a little curious still. As the Gameplay website will be vanishing tomorrow (to be subsumed by Gamestation), I was wondering how the Gamestation site has handled these 'cancellations'.

Since then my order has indeed been canceled. I did not get an additional email about the pre-order being cancelled, if that's what you were asking?

Personally I redeemed the £5 voucher plus all my Gamestation points and got myself 800 MS Points for a few pence. I will not ever be using them (or Game) to pre-order a game from again.

I just got a message from game and I was able to preoder the Mass Efffect 3 at amazon. It so ironic that I mostly get new games from GAME and then it just has problems.

the armour was the only thing not released and to be fair it looked like a black rock lit with red neon if I saw that coming i;d be laughing my head off since its not stealthy and it looks like you got lost in a neon angle factory....they exist somewhere xD

M-55 for all pre-orders, guaranteed. My guess is that the N7 Gear will go to all retailers as well in the end, just to save the ****storm.

And maybe this will teach publishers NOT to give GAME Group any exclusives again, ever!

the whole point of a ce is for the physical feel of the stuff, digital is fine but all your getting really is dlc, a dog and some bits and prices that wont really affect your gaming experience as a whole. and a long ass installing time.

Seems somewhat daft to wait a full day to announce which of the 'new' set of retail partners gets the pre-order bonus content. By the time they announce it, all the CE editions will already have been bagged, meaning its value as a pre-sales incentive for the former Game customers has already been lost. Short of giving those who ordered from every retailer for safety's sake (or the chance to make an insignificant amount of profit via ebay) a reason to rejoice, announcing which partner gets the goodies is unlikely to affect sales. Those who already bought up the stock will not release it, and those who purchased from another retailer will have no option but to accept the 'vanilla' CE or settle for SE with the few pre-order benefits, which likely does not represent the majority of those who bothered to pre-order.

The likely impending failure of Game as a retail outlet is merely symptomatic of what is occurring in the retail sector in general. A great many retail stores have collapsed in the past year and many more will follow this year as the UK economy continues to contract and stutter. I live near several 'shopping malls' and the daily and weekly traffic to these has flatlined hugely since the end of the post-christmas sales period. Online retailers may be part of this problem but don't discount the imbeciles in Whitehall, for as long as they remain in government, the economy will remain depressed (to say nothing of the population) and unemployment figures rise.

Not sure if this has been pointed out but, play.com have now sold out of the PS3 CE as well. So now play.com have sold out of every version of the CE.

"The Ashes". The rest of the CE DLC is exclusive.

By the CE exclusive DLC I mean: The Squad Appearance pack, Robotic Dog, N7 SMG, N7 Shotgun, N7 Sniper Rifle, N7 Pistol - none of this will be available to you if you get the standard edition.
