That sounds like EA offered them a set of terms that were unacceptable to the Game senior management before EA pulled out.

One or two years ago:

EA: Mass Effect 3 - want?
Game: WANT!

EA: 10% now, 90% on delivery.
Game: WANT!

A few weeks ago:

EA: Delivery!
Game: Ooopsie, no money!
EA: Get credit :/

Game: Need credit!
Bank: lulz, gtfo!

Game: No credit You give us inventory, we pay later!
EA: You pay now or no inventory!
Game: We don't pay 
EA : No ME3! No contract! No new games!

That's my take on it and I stand by it

They always give longer estimates for delivery because then it can't be said they've missed their delivery target if it shows up after release.

Ordering a Game on the 29th of Feb wont affect anything will it, because it's a leap year ? **** the amount of things you have to take into consideration just to get something online is stupid, check the companys credit rating before you pre order will be the no1 thing i will do when i order my next game !

All I got from them was sorry pal here's a form to fill out and when royal mail can be bothered to fail at finding it you'll get your money back. At which point I verbally steamrolled the person on the other side of the phone.

its its almost half past midnight and i got ctahc a train at 20 to 8, goodbye my fellow wounded the quest for the N7 edition shalt continue! i bidded on a £140 one, hope i get outbidded cause i ordered a standard on amazon! End of the day i just want finish the greatest gaming story i've ever played. Coming from a kid aged of 3 completing sonic on the master system, thats 20 years of pure gaming!

Bioware, i love you don't sell yourselfs to the rapists that i call EA.

lol Goos its normally very few retailers who wouldnt dispatch a replacement once confirmation of loss came through.

Shame though Game never caught on to good customer service...though most customer service these days is words with little action.

Too late...by a few years unfortunately...

Dodgy releases...rushed games....more bugs than you shake a stick at it...no continued support....shoddy PR and customer service...

Making Command and Conquer.....

Their days are numbered....don't say I didn't tell you....is a sad time for gamers...the Bioware of old would never have treated it's customers like they do now...

In fairness to EA though GAME pulled sales of some other game who's title I can't quite remember...Wii RPG I believe...anyway they cancelled all pre-orders of it the day before its release if I remember right. They anounced very late that they wouldn't be stocking Ubisofts Vita games and there was a whole handling with MGS HD a few weeks ago. GAME have form for this kind of stunt. EA still should have sorted it weeks ago but GAME are serial offenders here.

This is one of the worst days of my life. I got a call this morning from my girlfriend to let me know that her store, GAME, would not be stocking Mass Effect 3 special editions, or regular editions, or any copies of any other EA games because of GAME'S financial troubles. Which means my pre-order of the ME3 special edition is virtually worthless (though they will give you £5 worth of reward points as a sort of apology).

She knew how much i was looking forward to it which is presumably why she sounded a little sad when she told me on the phone. I told her not to worry about it and that it wasn't her fault, but then added "well, maybe if you had sex with more of the other customers GAME would have a larger and more loyal clientbase". She took the joke as intended, but it opened up another line of conversation that bN doesn't need to know about, that lasted at least 10 minutes.

10 minutes that if i'd used more wisely, by, say, getting to a computer and pre-ordering a copy of the N7 edition from Amazon or Zavvi, i would have probably been able to secure a copy of the N7 edition. But as it is, by the time i had finished prattling on the phone, everywhere had already sold out.

Now i'll have to get the regular version, which doesn't come with a tin case with the female Shepard on the front, so i wont be able to paint over her red hair, changing it blonde. I'm not so much upset for myself missing out on the hardcover art book or the litograph of the Normandy, but more because i've let blondekind down.

Gamestop Ireland or Blockbuster. You'd best hurry though. While you're reposting this sad story, those places are selling out. Blondekind awaits.

Amazon seem to have aquired more stock over the course of the afternoon, so i was fortunate enough to get in an order. 

Blondekind still has its champion.
