I dont blame Bioware.  But I think they were very naive.  Its been known for close to a year that Game have been in financial difficulty and that this has continued to escalate to higher and higher levels.


Game being exclussive retailers meant they must have offered Bioware/EA and incentive to be the sole proprietors of the CE. The fact they blindly accepted this is a bit suprising. Fair enough a year ago things wernt as bad as they have become. But now a week before release this is suddenly announced.  Sorry but thats far too tight and EA/Bioware should have had more foresight into the possibility this could (and has) happened.

So .. My GAME order is fracked? I would have expected an e-mail from them or something regarding it. Just ordered the N7 edition on play.com to be safe, hopefully they actually have some left in stock and aren't just leaving it listed on the site.

Just re-ordered from Play. I dislike Play but hopefully it gets here for release day. Really annoyed now - had my preorder since June!

Hmmm, can't say I'm surprised, but glad I checked the forum. Just pre-ordered with Play.com, but we definitely need clarity from EA about the pre-order bonus content. It would be absurd now to restrict it to a single retailer, but failing to get this information available can't but hurt pre-order sales numbers as customers wait to see what happens. Not what anyone wants a mere week away from launch.

Indeed, this should be a goodwill gesture on EA/Bioware's part - hoping this will be the case but unlikely, unfortunately

Thank God I accidentally hit the favourite link to the forums today, I've been avoiding the site for the last 2 weeks! I normally just lurk but this is a disgrace and should be addresed. I've had a pre-order since announcement and would have been blissfully unaware until my order didn't show up!

I second this idea. Although i think it should only be with those who preordered through game. After all, its only them that are being affected directly.

I wouldn't wait if I were you. I'd go with shop.to or play.com.

I highly recommend shop.to they guarantee delivery for release day and it's free delivery.

I'm thinking order with Play, then if Amazon comes up, cancel with play and then give a shout out on here, in case the CEs sell out quick on play, that there's two more opened up to purchase

OP, could you somehow change the title to something much more alarming and hopefully informative for UK customers? Everyone needs to know that they need to switch their orders right now.

I feel for everyone who had a preorder that they thought was safe as houses, only to find out now that they're knee deep in doo doo. A week before release, with the CE's only available through one retailer. Yeah, really thought that one through huh EA.

Now the water's been chummed and every tom dick n harry will be grabbing CE's likely those same CE's that some poor bloke thought they had with GAME.

how could they have any foresight in this?

if i plannned on selling and recived my copies of the game that i ordered for my customers after i paid ea  for the order that they shipped me.. that ends there exclusive are what you say moeny to ea but the thing is once you paid for the exclusive there nothing EA can do about a seller that goes belly up.

Zavvi have been known to deliver preorders the day before release too. Overall, Play and Amazon usually take the longest, but Amazon is most likely to get the Warfare pack if it remains exclusive.
