Sex scenes, hardly or hardly sex scenes?

Hardly. I would call those more like "romance scenes".

Yeah, its funny how many people thinks (elements of )Erotica = Porn.<_<

If you want to watch polygon boobies be my guest. Whatever floats your boat. It doesn't add anything and probably just makes it awkward. I don't have to see everything. Use your imagination and figure it out yourself what they may or may not do.

If we disregard what my own sexual preferences may or may not be, all art is about representing something in one way or another. Heavily mediated art, like paintings, polygons or even photography and video is something else then direct experience, but it is not supposed to, and can not be that anyway. Its not its purpose.
The purpose is to stimulate the imagination by offering enough to build a mental scenario around.

How do you mean it just makes it awkward? Like, you are not used to immerse in such things? have been told it is evil, dirty or silly? Do you think they cant do it in a way that is serious enough? Or is it awkward because you play games along with people that are not suited to share that little moment with.

In the witcher 1 its akward because its so all around it basicly becomes a game to collect sex cards instead of it having meaning, being an addon. It amused me, as it was funny on some level, but it did not have anything to do with romance or something similair.

ME1 was pretty sweet though, made it more then the usual video game words. It made me care extra for the character, don't know if anything else experienced the same?

Ah. Well. The ME1 sec scenes were pretty nice, in a way, but it's no big loss. I don't play video games for sex scenes.

That said, it's really too funny that in the US it's perfectly acceptable to show one's head pop like a watermelon under gunfire (amongst various gruesome things, *shudders* Husks...) but pixelated boobs in a 18+ game? THINK OF THE CHILDREN.

Oh, and also techinical limitations and such. Scenes for humans are fine and dandy, but garrus doesn't exactly, err, ''fit'' into the animation skeletons for FemShep, as an example. They (rightfully, imo) decided that there were better uses of ressources for their video game (such as, you know, adding more gameplay) than making custom sex scenes and graphic nudity for each LI.

They don't. This should really be the least of your concernes. Bioware dun goofd way harder than fully clothed humping.

Shower scene where they are fully clothed and just washing themselves? Sharing mearly to conserve water I guess.

That or a previous claim is false or has been removed. At least I hope that's the case and for some reason that instance does not count, one way or the other, not both.

So... no side-boobage. No side-butts. ... ...

Wait for it...

...

NERD RAGE! RAWR! CANCEL!!!! j/k

(Disappointed but not surprised. I thought it was artfully done in ME1. Assuming the rating descriptor is accurate, I'm sorry Bioware didn't see fit to include something more in the non-sexual sex scenes.)

5 years and millions of frustrated fans later, Bioware is still scared to death of Fox News. Now the question remains: is Ashley gonna be fully clothed or will she AT LEAST take off her boots (I'm looking at you Isabela)?

The Witcher's sex scenes are fairly cringe-worthy in how gratuitous they are. Whether it is the cards in the first Witcher or the explicit scenes in the sequel, the sex scenes are just there to titillate cellar dwellers.

Mass Effect 1's sex scenes were much better than the Witcher in that they weren't gratuitous, and were fairly cinematic in quality. ME1 rather than the Witcher, should have been used an example of how the romance scenes should play out in ME3.

If there is no nudity during the ME3 sex scenes however, then I ask what the warning about 'brief nudity' is about? Naked husks? Posted Image

W2s sex scenes was a bit to stereotypic (but so are your idea of who they are for) IMHO. The nudity is not the problem, its what types of behaviour and ideals the scenes reproduce. What is missing is not only how to communicate a more empowering and relaxed attitude towards sexuality, but also to community that nudity is not always sexual.

People wanked to ME1's sex scenes? You could barely see anything, for God's sake. Heck, I've seen more gratuitous sexual content come out of Big Bang Theory and The Simpsons!

Well, I'm seriously disappointed in Bioware, but not totally surprised. This industry is having such a hard time growing up... anything containing nudity is immediately denounced as porn (a lot of the time, these people don't even know what the difference between porn and nudity is).

If you wanted to be fair, you could label anything containing explicit gore as "Guro" (BTW, googling this term WILL make you uncomfortable).

Not surprised, not angry, just flat-out disappointed and jaded by Bioware's decision to backpedal on this.

I disagree. Those come off as excessively graphic to the point of being tasteless; they emphasize the sexual act rather than the emotion.

Depends who it's with. The one in the lake is quite different to the succubus.

Are you refering to the bath house? Anyway, its true, not all sex is about Geralt showing/expressing his feelings/love. Geralt is much less exposed then the woman though, which is a clear minus. As is the the overly stereotypic  Aesthetics in gender portrayal.
