I disagree. Those come off as excessively graphic to the point of being tasteless; they emphasize the sexual act rather than the emotion.

Are you refering to the bath house? Anyway, its true, not all sex is about Geralt showing/expressing his feelings/love. Geralt is much less exposed then the woman though, which is a clear minus. As is the the overly stereotypic  Aesthetics in gender portrayal.

It's the one with Triss. She practically yanks him into the lake as he's trying to take off his pants.

tbh i dont mind if nudity isnt in. if i wanted boobs and booty id go watch some porn for free honestly.

lotsb was written well with no form of nudity.

and no im not against it but even i admit  its not needed to describe a ** love scene**

Well, I'm seriously disappointed in Bioware, but not totally surprised. This industry is having such a hard time growing up... anything containing nudity is immediately denounced as porn (a lot of the time, these people don't even know what the difference between porn and nudity is).

If you wanted to be fair, you could label anything containing explicit gore as "Guro" (BTW, googling this term WILL make you uncomfortable).

Not surprised, not angry, just flat-out disappointed and jaded by Bioware's decision to backpedal on this.

The british are historically more lenient towards sexual content in the rating of games and films.

I think the ESRB is more credible to make statements about sexuality. I think it's worth noting they didn't rate ME2 with partial nudity but rated ME3 with it.

But anyway, this game is rated for 17 year olds. It's not that a child(almost an adult) wouldn't know what sex is. Right?
If the tag says partial nudity, then were is it? Why it's rated so high, if there is no sexual content at all(I'm not holding on that though, didn't play the game yet)

It's never been an adult game in the UK.

Although I guess you could describe soft-porn style grinding w/ underwear on as "sexual activity"...  I think I'd prefer a quick fade to black over a repeat of that kind of sex scene personally.

Which just goes to show how non functional these ratings are when DA2 with it's nipple tassles doesn't get a partial nudity rating.

Actually, now that I think about it:

This is vague to the point of meaninglessness.

Technically not only the scenes in Dragon Age: Origins, but the scenes from Mass Effect 1 could fall under this.

What means "detail of sexual activity"? Maybe that would have discounted Liara's little dance move, but what about characters being simply horizontal, in a bed? Is that a "detail of sexual activity?"

Or are they talking about Witcher 2 style humping? Or God of War style moaning? Are those the "details of sexual activity" they're talking about?

Hugging? Kissing? What?

What a bunch of crap.

We truly won't know until we see it for ourselves. I doubt it'll be anything explicit, but I'm hoping it'll be at least meaningful.
