So I'm going to try and stick with Dog for a play through, I'm level 8ish atm, haven't really found anything decent yet, I think I'm useing + 2 dex warpaint you get in lothering or something, and thinking back on my other game, I don't remember ever really finding anything that really stood out as being "good" for him, just really minor stat boosts or maybe some resists.

I know Shale can get some pretty beefy crystals, they even have set bonuses, so I'm jsut wondering what people have found for Dog that I might have missed.  Or maybe give me a heads up if there is something I should be keeping a look out for.

There's some dog gear in the kennel inside red cliffe castle that's available early on.  But it's all rather minor bonuses compared to shale.

thers not that much for the dog, the bonuses generally are quite low

best collar probably is from high dragon and for painting my fav is the end regen one for sale at Lotherin... you can find some dog stuff even in redcliff castle

I found some Dog gear in a chest in the mage tower. Pretty sure that's where it was because I remember thinking it was an odd place to find it.

Anyway, it was good stuff and I ended up using it for the rest of the game.

I'm using a +8 attack, +8 armor collar, but I forget where I found it.

I believe that is the one that drops from High Dragon. I use that and the Physical resist +30 warpaint wich you get from the Circle Tower (unless I got that mixed up).

That sounds about right. I did kill the dragon.

Hmm, that's a bit dissapointing, I was perusing the wiki at work, and they only have 6 warpaints total listed for him, and none of them offer anythign but minor increases. Not that I care that there aren't OMG gamebreaking items for him, I was just hoping they would be good enough to modify his role in the group a bit depending on what you gave him.
