Well, thank you for your permission. :P

it has nothing to do with permission. Sometimes, when people get really passionate about something, they begin to lose perspective. Especially here in the forums, this lack of perspective translates to people becoming defensive and drawing very stark lines between those who agree with them and "the enemy."

I put little stock in reviews. Generally, I don't wait to buy games if I believe I might at all like them. However, if a game is seriously disappointing, then it the reputation of the developer that suffers the most and I will be less likely to trust in buying another game from them.

DA2 was a disappointment, but all by itself it still wasn't a bad game and easily worth the money. It just paled dramatically when compared to DA:origins. Still Bioware has produced enough GOOD games, that the occasional travesty is still acceptable. The Mass Effect series has been good so far, even if they did remove a lot of the RPG elements from ME2.

Waiting for Origin-free version.

If this means never, it means never.

Origin, the documentary.

Don't worry, Stanley. I predict that in a couple of days all factions will unite and go after BioWare as their new enemy. It's tradition, after all.

Couldnt care less about what anybody thinks.... However its always nice to hear phrase about something you like, even if its not for the reasons you like it...

If i cared for review, i would atleast wait until release to get the CE. But ME, for me smilie, is a buy based on visual design alone...

I see no need to judge Bioware based on their recent games (Dragon Age 2 and SW:TOR). Mainly because of the Dragon Age Origins point. Dragon Age Origins was extremely mediocre to me. The characters were a bit ugly, IMO, the story writing was just OK, Alistair annoyed the heck out of me, and the game is rather buggy, especially the expansion. But ME2 came out after that and it was great. Plus, the teams working on Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and SW:TOR are all different teams. SW:TOR is based out of Bioware's Texas office, Dragon Age and Mass Effect are in Canada but different teams.

(Also, haven't played DA2 yet since I'm hoping for an ultimate edition with all of the DLC, and no interest in MMOs.)

I've got it preordered. I preordered in June of last year and even have 2 copies coming. I highly doubt I will regret this.

Mm, it doesn't matter what the reviews say. I plan to finish the trilogy if only for the sake of doing so. Though I'm already aware I will not be satisfied by this game. Ah well.

Perhaps my gaming days are behind me.

Honestly if you wanted to pre-order the game you should have done it when (most) retailers had the copies in stock instead of waiting jsut saying.

What's the downside to waiting? It's not like they will run out of copies. CDs aren't exactly hard to mass-produce.

You think games come on CDs? LOL :D

You could love it for a lot less money and with a lot less bugs ;)

No. It's going to be a midnight release for me baby!

But.... I will say this... I am not going to say, "I don't care what the reviewers say b/c I'm getting the game anyway", b/c that is just crazy. If a company knew that, they could shovel any garbage in your face knowing that you will eat it up.

I EXPECT ME3 to be good. I expect Bioware to have done the Mass Effect Universe justice. I think alot is riding on this game, and people expectations are high. Let's hope that they already knew that and put forth a great experience...

i'll be waiting at least a month. not for reviews, but to see if modding single player gets people banned.

I have DA:O and DA2, I don't like them very much. But I LOVE both ME1&2 don't judge a company based on one of their games if you like the first two mass effects you should buy the third one as soon as you can.

Nope...not at all.

I have not been dissapointed in the ME franchise none what so ever.

I generally don't watch "Reviews" of games anymore because Reviews are the opinion of the person playing/reviewing the game. Their opinion/review of the game is just that, their opinion. I am perfectly able to draw my own opinions of a game without being drawn into the "Mob Rule".

Learn not to be a follower by making your own decisions and draw your own opinions.

It was just a joke to highlight that you didn't add anything to the thread. Therefore making your post seem a bit pointless.

Absolutely. I was planning on holding off until a Steam release anyway, so it's not a big deal but having caught some spoilers last night, I find myself less tempted by it's release on other platforms. I definitely want to read how players react, to see if these spoilers are true and if they're enough effect my enjoyment of the game.

But of course this isn't a problem. No. $10 dlc is the problem. Image IPB

Ah, Starcraft 2. If those factions were taken out of vanilla Starcraft, then yes, that too is a problem But how is that an excuse for BioWare to also exploit DLC?

How is From Ashes exploitation in any way?

The Collector's Edition was always marketed as having a squadmate the retail game wouldnt have. You're lucky that you can get it at all without getting the CE.

People just like to **** I guess.

^bro you would be better off talking to ur nearest wall, these guys already have their minds made up that every big company is out to steal their money, and convince all of us "drones" that how right they are. Just let it go and talk to real fans who intend to have an amazing experience with ME3

Yes, but that choice has little to nothing to do with Mass Effect 3 or with the, at this point rather amusing, DLC-drama. There's two reason. First: there's quite a few games I have bought but not finished yet (thanks December!), so I'm in no hurry to add to that collection. Second: I didn't really care for the demo, so I'd like to first hear from people who've played a more substantial part of the game than the demo was able to offer.

I love to read reviews on games that look cool, but I know nothing about (like the first Gears of War, or Mass Effect 2).

If it's something that I am invested in, such as Mass Effect or Gears, then reviews usually only add to my excitement!

There's no way I'm gonna cancel my pre-order! :D
