If I disagree with a review score, the site or publication is corrupt and paid off.

If I agree with a review score, it's honest.

It's science.

This. Use your own judgement, folks, and realize that people who disagree with you aren't necessarily "wrong." high marks are not necessarily indicative of a "payoff" or "corruption." Maybe, just maybe, those reviewers like the game. They are allowed to, and it has absolutely no effect on how you feel about the game.

Similarly, low review scores doesn't necessarily mean someone is a "troll" or a "hater." Maybe, just maybe, those reviewers don't like the game. They are allowed to, and it has absolutely no effect on how you feel about the game.

Really, how can you guys take these reviews seriously, Given how much corruption there is in the video game review industry. I'd suggest waiting to see what everyday users have to say about the game, They are your most unbiased opinions that you will get.

Couldnt care less about what anybody thinks.... However its always nice to hear phraize about something you like, even if its not for the reasons you like it...

If i cared for review, i would atleast wait until release to get the CE. But ME, for me :?, is a buy based on visual design alone...

My intention was not to say "ME3 Sucks and should get a 3/10"  It could very well be a 9/10.  I would have to play it first to find out.  I was trying to bring up a point about the problems that are rampant in the game review industry right now.    There is a complete lack of trust in game reviews when you have people getting fired for writing  negative.  reviews because the game is published by an advertiser.  Or the Duke Nukem thing where they threatened blackballing anyone who wrote a negative review.    And thats not even beginning to address the issue of score inflation.

There is a complete lack of trust in gaming sites and their reviews and I don't know how that trust can ever be rebuilt.

Yeah, cause Metacritics userscore for DA2 of 4.4 is a clear indicator that user scores are much less bias.
And yes, I know I'll be attacked for defending DA2, but its not a 4.4 / 10. It's more like a 6.5

Users are incredibly ridiculous in their scores, reaching to either side of an extreme...
Reviewers are better when you find one that you agree with.

I trust the user scores about as much as I trust the critics, which is to say not at all. Numerical scores are worthless, in my eyes. When I read a review, I focus on the content to see whether what the reviewer makes sense or strikes me as wrong.

I'm curious why some of the smaller review sites/magazines have their reviews up sooner then the larger companies are their different embargos on reviews in different regions? Or are the larger review sites simply putting more time into their reviews and the smaller sites are trying to generate traffic to their site by having a early review?

You can go anywhere from 6.5 to 2 in my book depending on how critical you want to be. In my game I happened to support the mages, then end up killing them Posted Image and having the game freeze twice in the transition stage of the boss battle with the statues did not put me in the best of moods.

I'd be shocked in ME3 was on that level.

I agree with this.
But most of the time, I just trust gametrailers. They seem to have a good idea on how to review well without being too bias. But again, content of the revie wis what I am looking for :bandit:

The actual review scores don't matter, it's the content of the review that I take into consideration. It's funny how two game/review publications can say the exact same thing regarding the graphics (per se) of the game, but one rates it a 9 and the other a 8, which affects the overall score.

Also for me, a 2 is something like one of those barbie racing games with glitches galore
A 4 is something that you would not play in a million years.
A 6 is something you played but you did not necessarily enjoy
A 7 is something you played and enjoyed, but did not wow you in any way.

At least, thats how it works in my mind :)

Why is everyone reviewing the PS3 version? We have literally four outlets using the PS3 version and none using the 360.

Huh. I think that might be for the english lenguage website PSX Extreme which seems to have no relation to the polish magazine. For reference:
