So I've heard some disturbing things. I don't know whether or not they're true. When I first heard about the possible ME3 endings, I was dissatisfied. Over time, however, I have come to a different conclusion: I lack perspective.
I haven't played ME3 yet, and I won't be able to for a while. I know what the endings are supposed to be, but I don't know what the context is in which they occur. For any other game developer, I would simply withhold judgement until experiencing the game for myself. For Bioware, I will go one step further.
Over the years, Bioware has shown itself to be an enormously talented developer, making games renowned not only for their excellent gameplay, but also for quality of storytelling. I haven't been playing their games as long as others - I only just started a few years ago with ME1 - but from the moment I first played ME1, through DA1 & 2 and ME2, the quality has never wavered. Indeed, it has only grown stronger.
I choose to trust Bioware.
In light of their history, it's the only reasonable conclusion. I have to have faith that though at first glance the endings may seem unsatisfactory, that I am wrong, and simply suffer from a lack of perspective. I did the same when the seventh Harry Potter book was released, and I was not disappointed.
Bioware, I have faith that you will not let us down.
