A "mirror universe" campaign where Sten and Morrigan are wacky and happy-go-lucky, Lei and Wynne are psycho and trampy, Shale is a stoned slacker, and Allistar and Zev are a gay couple.
(Star Trek "Evil Double" Goatees optional)...
LOL!
Pre-emptive feature requests:
-Ability to show/hide goatees
-Ability to respec goatees to moustaches without having to restart the whole game.

i'd like an expansion to be unrelated to the plot of the game. how about an expansion that goes into a neighboring country? maybe a large scale sten plot? sten asks to return home and the party travels to his home country and some kind of craziness ensues. or a prequel expansion based on the stolen throne. that would be cool.Loetek wrote...
Like the title says.
No wall of text please... people tend to pass over them anyways.
And this isnt a "what do you want them to change" thread
With the expansion i hope:
they continue on with the talents. So instead of only 4 there might be 5 or 6
And I hope they add at least 1 specialization per class.

I think rather than new classes, which should be saved for the sequel, we should have new specializations and new talents/spells.
Also, a given, are new companions. Difficulty will be incorporating the voice dialogues for interraction betwee the old cast and the new, argh and reactions of old areas with new people. Shale worked well mostly because she was originally designed to be in the whole game anyway This is going to impede game design in the future if all RPGs go with voice only dialogue, if the voice actors are unavailable/too costly they will be restricted in what content they can do.
But maybe not..
What specaliziations would you like to see? Some of the stuff would be redundant...

But seriously, maby something with building your own keep, recruiting soldiers, upgrading armors/weapons etc.
Not by putting gems in a crate btw.

WOO! But "Kimberly Shaw" has a good point up there, there's a lot of variables for post and pre ending but I'm sure the fine folks at Bioware will work SOMETHING out. I'm just super excited for any officially made large expansions so many places talked about within the game and I need to see them >

A knight without a horse is like a mage without a staff, a minstrel without an instrument, a dwarf without a beard or a dragon without wings.

YEAH, maybe an old keep that the Grey Warden's used to use and made their last stand in but was lost to time and now you find it again and clear it of Darkspawn and demons then send in your friends to clean up and make your own keep...oh...wait?? They screwed that up already!
/sigh

some additional companions would be nice too, preferably with strong stories and maybe romance options
and more dialogue for Leliana, <3 her voice

Morrigan's future story makes me wonder so I'd like to play it in the first expansion.

- Quanari origin? (like working as a mercenary when Duncan shows up and offers you a better future)
- Human commoner?
New places
- Black City
- Orlais
New class(es)
- Maybe something like a more support based class. Just think about Shale's Stone Aura mode. Something like that with more buffs
The return of the gryphons (Do I even need to tell why?)
More gear options, like gear building up dmg or crit or anything you like. I feel the current endgame gear a bit limited.
Can't think of anything else at the moment.

For example, more natural looking exterior scenes. Buildings that can be entered (versus the Hollywood type false fronts in DA:O).
For example, better variety in treasure chests. For example, DA:O treasure chests are generally not worth opening -- but, I'm OK with that. However, the content is highly repetitive. I opened several chests in one area. Each one had a single leather helmet or leather boots. Boring. Moreover, I would not expect that stuff in a "treasure" chest -- but, rather, a wardrobe along with other items of the same ilk -- please be more logical.
Of course, a great campaign and at least 1/3 as much game play (including 1/3 as much NEW areas/interiors) as in the original. Of course, a roughly proportionally reduced price if the content is less -- but, I expect to pay at least 50 percent of the cost of the original game.
