Some Dude On The Internet wrote...

A "mirror universe" campaign where Sten and Morrigan are wacky and happy-go-lucky, Lei and Wynne are psycho and trampy, Shale is a stoned slacker, and Allistar and Zev are a gay couple.

(Star Trek "Evil Double" Goatees optional)...

LOL!

Pre-emptive feature requests:
-Ability to show/hide goatees
-Ability to respec goatees to moustaches without having to restart the whole game.

;)

What about an expansion pack that allows you to use your save at the end of the game and expand on the points in the ending? There seems to be a possibility for many quests relating to the aftermath of the events. These events don't necessarily need to be a full sequel but some dlc or an expansion would be nice. If it's based off of your save at the end then the game would even seem more personalized.

Like the title says.
No wall of text please... people tend to pass over them anyways.
And this isnt a "what do you want them to change" thread

With the expansion i hope:
they continue on with the talents. So instead of only 4 there might be 5 or 6
And I hope they add at least 1 specialization per class.

i'd like an expansion to be unrelated to the plot of the game. how about an expansion that goes into a neighboring country? maybe a large scale sten plot? sten asks to return home and the party travels to his home country and some kind of craziness ensues. or a prequel expansion based on the stolen throne. that would be cool.

The problem with an expansion post-game end is that the endings are very different and depending on the paths certain characters might be king or dead, certain babies may be born or not concieved, etc. The expansion would have to have a starting point that makes sense for all these stories which may or may not be easy to do. I suppose they could just have different "origins" like the original game but all come to the same "Ostagar" in the expansion?

I think rather than new classes, which should be saved for the sequel, we should have new specializations and new talents/spells.

Also, a given, are new companions. Difficulty will be incorporating the voice dialogues for interraction betwee the old cast and the new, argh and reactions of old areas with new people. Shale worked well mostly because she was originally designed to be in the whole game anyway This is going to impede game design in the future if all RPGs go with voice only dialogue, if the voice actors are unavailable/too costly they will be restricted in what content they can do.

But maybe not..

What specaliziations would you like to see? Some of the stuff would be redundant...

But seriously, maby something with building your own keep, recruiting soldiers, upgrading armors/weapons etc.

1000 miles away there's a place that I would like to go. Teased many a time at which I shout at my screen yelling at Alister to take me there immediately! I wanna go see my Grey Warden brothers.

WOO! But "Kimberly Shaw" has a good point up there, there's a lot of variables for post and pre ending but I'm sure the fine folks at Bioware will work SOMETHING out. I'm just super excited for any officially made large expansions so many places talked about within the game and I need to see them >:o

I think they need to add a lot more realism. They should do this by making a "farmer" origin. You would have to work 10 hour days farming turnips, at the end of a week you can sell them all for 3 coppers! The only way you can damage enemies would have to be by forming a strong farmers union and pooling your money to purchase tractors with which to run over the enemy.

Horses. How can I take any medievalish world seriously if there arent any horses? There are knights but no horses.

A knight without a horse is like a mage without a staff, a minstrel without an instrument, a dwarf without a beard or a dragon without wings.

YEAH, maybe an old keep that the Grey Warden's used to use and made their last stand in but was lost to time and now you find it again and clear it of Darkspawn and demons then send in your friends to clean up and make your own keep...oh...wait?? They screwed that up already!

/sigh

more Origins. maybe a human commoner or a non-Circle mage (it's mentioned a few times that Grey Warden's don't discriminate against them) since both are lacking in choice

some additional companions would be nice too, preferably with strong stories and maybe romance options

and more dialogue for Leliana, <3 her voice :P

I'd like to see something involving Antiva (spelling) and The Crows. I'd like more rogue/assassian type missions. Weapons and armor that are relevant to those classes instead of all this ''massive'' armor BS. I think Antiva would have some good political intrique from what Zev has said in camp. Introduce some new magics, too. I'd like to see lockpicking be more of a mini-game rather then simply point and click like it is. I'd like to see ranged weapons like throwing stars, dart guns, and caltrops (not the trap form) introduced. I'd like to see stealth be more useful - set up some missions where stealth is key. This may be hard in a party based game play, but maybe limit some missions to just your character and Zev or Leliana as a npc.

A new class or race possibility. More specializations, and any new story wherever it may be.

Also the ability to show/hide helmets.

I hope the developers will correct the very pesky error in the game engine: it comes if an enemy begins using a hand to hand skill and takes the start movement when I trying to slip away. I'm at least 5-6 meters from its even so it can hit me - although it's slashing the pure air...

Morrigan's future story makes me wonder so I'd like to play it in the first expansion.

I want a new story and companions. I don't want the same story and companions that we have now. Spells, talents, skills, classes, weapons, etc. are all optional.

New origin(s)
- Quanari origin? (like working as a mercenary when Duncan shows up and offers you a better future)
- Human commoner?

New places
- Black City
- Orlais

New class(es)
- Maybe something like a more support based class. Just think about Shale's Stone Aura mode. Something like that with more buffs

The return of the gryphons (Do I even need to tell why?)

More gear options, like gear building up dmg or crit or anything you like. I feel the current endgame gear a bit limited.

Can't think of anything else at the moment.

More variety, polish, and detail.

For example, more natural looking exterior scenes. Buildings that can be entered (versus the Hollywood type false fronts in DA:O).

For example, better variety in treasure chests. For example, DA:O treasure chests are generally not worth opening -- but, I'm OK with that. However, the content is highly repetitive. I opened several chests in one area. Each one had a single leather helmet or leather boots. Boring. Moreover, I would not expect that stuff in a "treasure" chest -- but, rather, a wardrobe along with other items of the same ilk -- please be more logical.

Of course, a great campaign and at least 1/3 as much game play (including 1/3 as much NEW areas/interiors) as in the original. Of course, a roughly proportionally reduced price if the content is less -- but, I expect to pay at least 50 percent of the cost of the original game.

I'd prefer to keep it simple, actually. Say, you go to Antiva, kill off the entire House of Crows after which the qunari invade, capture you and ship you off to Par Vollen where you will be rescued by an Orlesian bard, go shopping for boots in Val Royeux and eventually become king of Ferelden, abolish the Chantry, gather a legion of blood mages to send you to the Black City where you will have no choice but to destroy it and consume the essence of the Maker, essentially becoming God, then you get bored and stop all existence.
