Prothean as a possible extra. Pretty silly that there are no ME2 squadmates. I have a bad feeling about this game being dumbed down because of EA. If the demo is what we get for old squad sidequests then these are pathetic cameos. feel bad for Mordin.

Yeah, Prothy seems awesome, actually, and you can get used to his voice if it irks you.
How lucky for me that I won't have to hear his voice then XD . I think that I'll stick to taking these squadmates: Garrus, Liara, Tai and Prothean. EDI, James & Ashley'll have to stay in the ktichen XD. It'll be more like Garrus, Loara and Prothy for most of the game though since Tali joins us rather late...

I don't get people liking Miranda. Or Ashley, Kaiden and Jacob, they are all just so boring. I like half the squad we're given and I'm indifferent about the rest... minus the VS. I would love to have Jack and Legion and one or the other of Grunt or Wrex back. But to be honest I'm just going to play and see how I like the characters and see how I can balance a team, I've never played with just the two I liked the most or anything, I've played with who can benefit me the most in battle.
In ME1 that was always Kaiden and Wrex/Liara, or Tali and any Biotic. Because that way I had a way to take down shields and aften charging Krogan could be stopped with a good Biotic push.
In ME2, it varied greatly, but as long as I had overload and either warp or fire I was gooc, Most common team was Mordin and Garrus.
Ashley is rascist with an inferiority complex
Miranda is a sin against Nature
Kaiden is literaly the only sane person on your team
Jacob... Jacob is.... I got nothing

With that said, I'm still sad that a Krogan isn't going to be a permanent resident on my ship. I'm looking forward to interacting with Wrex and Grunt for a mission or two, but it's not the same as having them as permanent companions.

I second that opinion... squaddies vary from mission to mission...

You have fewer squaddies.KMYash wrote...
So what happens if Tali and/or Garrus died in the suicide mission? Do they get magicked back to life or do you just have four perm squad mates? Or generic filler replacements?

This squadmate fanbratty whinging that's been going on since before ME3 was even announced, it's stupid. No question about it. Even if every other aspect of the game blows chunks of arse, this will always be stupid.

Right. Because ME1 was so dumbed down, with its maximum limit of six squadmates.
The idea is to have fewer squadmates with more weapons and powers each than ME2 had. In ME2 they tried it the other way, by giving you a whole crapload of squadmates with two weapons and two/three powers apiece. Both are limited in some form or another. Personally I prefer the ME3 method; it makes each individual squadmate less situational.

Soldier (Vega)
Soldier (Ashley)
Soldier (Prothean)
Engineer (EDI)
Engineer (Tali)
Adept (Liara)
Infiltrator (Garrus)
Sentinel (Kaidan)
Half or a third of your team is pure Soldiers. In fact, if you killed Kaidan, you only have one biotic at all. What the hell? The first two squads had perfect balance.

You know what to do, time to have Ashley learn firsthand how atoms are split. I hated her racist a** anyways.
In all seriousness though, how can the designers have overlooked the class balance on your squad?

IDK why they (Bioware) insist on keeping Tali. I've hated her for like 4 years now
See..thats just you. More then half of BSN love Tali. And so does BioWare.
Kill her ass on the Suicide Mission then if you want.

My disappointment just keeps growing. Did EDI really need a character slot? I can't believe all the powerhouse's collected in 2 are just brushed aside.

They aren't brushed aside, they just have more important things to do than tag along with Shepard.

Every single one? Really!? Galactic genocide and every single person from 2 sans Garrus and Tali have better things to do. There are so many things wrong with that.

With all of the things that have been overlooked in ME3, are you really surprised?
My real disappointment is the lack of a Krogan on the crew and that role seemingly occupied by that ****** Vega.
