Hey guys.

So some abilities say that they "Weaken Armor" (haven't seen any that say the same of shields or barriers, I'm guessing they exist though).

I'm wondering if anyone has any information on how exactly this translates in combat?

At first I thought it might mean it just does more damage to armor. For instance, Warp says that it "Weakens Armor" in it's description. That wording is really weird though if they mean that it does x2 damage or something like ME2 skills did when they were "effective" against a particular protection.

So I started t o think that maybe it means that once an enemy is hit with that ability, it's Armor bar will take an additional X% damage from ALL other sources.

I thought that because some abilities say that they already do +20% damage to Armor AND they weaken armor by 20%. So "weakening" is definitly different than just +% damage.

So anyone have any thoughts or answers on the whole "weakening" mechanic? Thanks.

Are certain abilities still "effective" against some protections for x2 the damage like in ME2? Or has the weakening mechanic replaced that?

Even with Overload, it doesn't say that it does extra damage to shields or anything unless you get the last evolution.

Is Weaken Armor the only "weaken" debuff also? Haven't read any for other protections. It seems like only Armor can be debuffed but the other protections have abilities that just do extra damage to them.
