I'm just glad Bioware didn't pull of the mexican novela sunshine and bunnies ending for teenage girls and rather gave us a dark and crude ending for us adults who'll be buying the game.

Do you even realize what a massive amount of mental gymnastics and twisting around you are doing JUST to avoid realizing that Bioware made bad endings?

Either a mediocre POE or someone who doesn't get what the fanbase wants.

I keep reading about "oh its not context".

...What context do you need? Shepard's crew is stuck on a planet. Shepard is either dead, or separated with no way to get back to his crew and LI.

That sucks no matter what the context.

Hey, it worked for Halo ... just saying...

First off, we haven't seen everything. You can argue that with me all you want, but I'm standing my ground. I haven't played the full game, and yes - the ending could be 'bad' even with the context, but the more I hear from Tank, the more I'm impressed.

Furthermore, the fact that Tank is still releasing information of note reveals how little we know. We have a very skeletal understanding of the endings. Yes, Normandy stranded, Shepard dies, etc etc, but the more that I hear, the more that they flesh out. Playing the game will probably (actually, most definitely) help that more. And no - I don't plan on being 'happy'. And honestly, the spoilers that I know now tell me that it doesn't matter. So, tell me I'm doing 'mental gymnastics', but I'm not the one raging. Again, I can understand being upset, but you have not played the game. I have little reason to feel that your opinion of the endings is well founded. It's based on second hand experience and pieces of the whole. If you still feel that way after playing the games, I will have a greater respect for your feelings on the matter.

So since Bioware doesn't seem to be listening to the fanbase it has so painstakingly grown...

I have a new angle.

Calm down. ITS ONLY A GAME!!

If rumors are right, there is an ending where Shep lives. That alone should be enough. Halo 3, although not a RPG, had its main character marooned in the middle of nowhere with his AI buddy seperated from his allies, MIA. It was suppossed to be the last part of a trilogy too, but years later, they are making Halo 4. So something like that will happen with Mass Effect. Though, if rumors are right, there won't be any Mass Relays just like there are no more need for Halo's in Halo 4 lol. Bungie swore that Halo 4 was the conclusion of Master Chief .... sound familiar?

The way I see it, the marooned Shepard ending is a great ending and realistic. He/she will be remembered as a true hero. In this case, also his/her crew.  About three years down the road, you will get the inevitable Mass Effect 4 with Commander Shepard returning and who knows.... maybe even the crew of the Normandy :).

That would kick ass, but who would there be to fight? It's kind of like Alexander the Great. Okay, so you kill the Persians, and take over the known world. Now what? Fight some missfits in India?

A better example (for those of you who know what I'm takling about, I will clarify for those that don't) is Age of Mythology. In the begining, Arkantos (Atlantian Admiral) complains that the 'glory days' of his life are over, all he fights are petty pirates now. All of Atlantis's enemies are gone.

BioWare would have to have already planned an ME4 out if they wanted to make it work. Like with the previously mentioned Halo 4 thing. 343 Industries has completely screwed the storyline. The next 3 games will have NOTHING to do with the originals except for the Chief. You're never going to fight the Covenant, the Forerunners will never capture that awe they had in the first 3 games. Well, you get what I mean......

P.S. Thanks for clearing up what you meant by recruiting Garrus.
